I get the sense that with 18 million available and another 20+ million incoming June 1st, that there is something sizable on the horizon for the Raiders. Our needs are still at QB, CB, OL and RB.. to a lesser extent. I feel like Lattimore is a possibility after June 1. Or... a QB.................. 👀

Andre Carter made the Vikings 53-man roster last season after signing as a UDFA. That, however, may have been speaking more to the lack of depth there. With this offseason reshaping, it will likely come down to Carter and Pat Jones II as the fifth edge rusher this team keeps on the roster. As a 2021 third-round pick, though, Jones still would seemingly be the better fit, which likely means Carter ends up on the Minnesota practice squad or with one of the other 31 teams in the league come Week 1. Joejaun Williams, who struggled to catch on in New England, signed with the Minnesota practice squad after not making the 53-man roster in camp and the preseason. He was claimed by the Bears early in the year, but ultimately ended up back with the Vikings and saw some time on the active roster before being signed to a reserve/futures contract in January. But with Jackson coming in now, it's hard to see Williams cracking the depth chart over the rookie, Byron Murphy Jr., Akayleb Evans, Josh Metellus, Mekhi Blackmon, NaJee Thompson, Andrew Booth Jr., or even Shaq Griffin. McCarthy and Darnold will surely occupy two of the spots on Minnesota's QB depth chart, meaning that Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall will be left to battle it out for QB3/emergency QB duties. In reality, though, it shouldn't be much of a battle at all. Hall, a 2023 fifth-round pick, is a higher-upside developmental project than Mullens while the Vikings brought in Darnold to be a veteran backup. I was expecting the Vikings to be in the top half of the rankings given Goldfish's Final Draft Rankings (Top 150) and Mock Draft, but think it was a successful draft. I think Viking Fans should be happy to come away with 6 players (including UDFAs) ranked/mocked in the top 175. 10. JJ McCarthy. Mocked to go at 5 with the Vikings giving up pick 11 and 23. 17. You had a solid plan. Neither toucan or daboyle had reached out and felt comfortable with continuing to trust you. Had you not approached me, I would have nominated Daboyle and Touch since they were the two I had the least amount of info on. I had a small preference for seeing Daboyle eliminated at the time so it your plan aligned with mine. We had an earlier agreement where we wouldn't nominate each other and I was assuming that was still in effect. At the very least, I still planned to honor it.

I think Tae and AR reached their conclusions for different reasons but neither disliked the organization. Obviously they developed in GB and spent multiple seasons and contracts here. AR probably had his rift with Gute because he wasn’t completely deferential to him and drafted his successor. He still was a complete professional about the game on the field and in the locker room. The off field and off season stuff did start to spiral out of control and as much as it didn’t bother me compared to others, I’m glad not to be on that ride the past couple seasons.

This is truly Wilson's last best shot at doing something else with his career. He's got an offensive system that seems to fit him to a T. He's got an offensive line that should protect him well. He's got a defense that has championship aspirations. Our pass catching weapons aren't as stocked as some teams he's had in the past, but maybe Khan will fix that in the coming weeks.
