Oh, so Eloy isn't our future at RF? Guess we better sign that fella who wants to be a Cub.

Quintana is the perfect pitcher for the Cubs, but the Eloy loss stings. I'm still not overly optimistic for 2017 unless this lights a fire under the bats. But this is huge for the next 3 years.

But I really did want to see Eloy destroying baseballs at Wrigley. Crying or Very sad

Yeah, that would certainly ease the pain.

After all these years where i feel every trade was a win for us. This one, feels like a lose...

Quintana is good but not great... he's at best a 3 in the rotation.

Yeah, he's legit. A terrific #2 starter in his prime and really cheap.

As a Dodger fan, I don't like this move for the Cubbies Wink
He's starting to bounce back and is a quality #2 when things are clicking.Great pickup for y'all.

Team still has Schwarber and Heyward for the corners long-term, and I wouldn't be surprised if Happ ends up there as well (it seems like the best fit for him defensively). They can even stick Bryant out there and try Candelario at 3B or try to sign Harper...

I do like how Quintana is so cheap that the team can still add a big pitching contract once Lackey/Arrieta are off the books. That's huge.

Really like the trade.

I also feel like we got the corners locked up long-term so I don't have a problem trading Eloy.
