I don't see a big difference than Devonte Fields and Myles Garrett

Spot on assessment. And I like Fields. But he's nowhere near the polished prospect that Garrett is. LuckisGOAT, no offense, but it seems like you enjoy taking these wild stances against the top prospects. Didn't you have Bosa insanely low on your DL rankings?

The top pass rusher is Myles Garrett by a mile. The top interior DL is Malik McDowell.

Garrett is head and shoulders above everyone else right now. I do like Barnett, Allen, Hand, Williams, Godchaux, Adams, Augusta, McDowell, Lawson, AQM, and Fields as well though. Also Chad Thomas is a DE. Thomas and AQM are intriguing in an aggressive 4-3 defense that Miami will run. Much higher on AQM though, a lot more effort and work ethic IMO.

I like Thomas as a 3 tech too though too with his athleticism, he could be a Justin Tuck inside out type of end on the next level

Preliminary top DEs for me right now:

Garrett
Harris
Smoot
Lawson
Rochell

Very early, though.

Yea he definitely has the frame as well. Needs to show he was worth that 5* rating out of high school though. It's the right defense now with the best DL coach in the country coaching him. No more excuses.

What are your early thoughts on Smoot? Haven't watched him.

Also, no Derek Barnett?

Really liked Smoot. Disengages quickly with an explosive get off. Heavy hands. Relentless.

As for Barnett - I wasn't terribly impressed. Good prospect, but more in the late first/early second round range IMO. Explosive/length ratio that I like in pass-rushers just isn't what it needs to be - I don't see him being a 15 sack guy in the NFL, honestly.

That was a first look though, and it's still early obviously.

Garret/Harris have a very comfortable lead as the top two guys right now, IMO. Then Smoot/Lawson/Rochell and Barnett in that next tier.

I forgot about Carl Lawson. He would have been my #1 EDGE aside from Bosa last year. But he's still not moving past Garrett.

What are the best 3-4 prospects? I know about McDowell but are there any good NTs?
