Jordan Leggett looked legit tonight. 6'5" 258 with some nice athleticism and hands.

OJ Howard shined aswell.

Would love either of these guys, Howard is probably going round one or early 2nd. Leggett has a real chance of being there with our 2nd pick.

Leggett has shown out to me before, I had no idea he was considered that level. I try to put the blinders on to draft projections all year just to remind me how little I actually know about this.

Another TE that I really like is David Njoku from Miami, talk about athletically gifted. I would love to add him to this team to develop behind Cook for a year or two.

Figuring out where TEs are going to go is always kind of mysterious to me. But if I learned anything from 2014 it's that those guys are likely to go well before you think it's sensible to take them. Leggett on Day 2 isn't absurd, but I wouldn't be wholly surprised if he goes like 38 or something.

Wouldn't you rather sign Cook than spend an early pick on a TE?

100%. I don't see a TE that's likely going to be worth their draft spot until the late third maybe at best.

Well there's 4 that could go in the first 2 rounds, and I wouldn't mind any of them at the bottom of the 2nd.

Howard, Njoku, Leggett, Hodges

I don't think any of them make it to #64.

Yes, definitely. But I'm more than willing on drafting a real talent at TE in rounds 2 & 3. And obviously later on if we don't get our chance earlier... I've been a fan of guys like Howard, Hodges and Engram for awhile, my newest draft crush is Leggett. All 4 could be game changers IMO.

Could you IMAGINE TWO GOOD TE'S IN THIS OFFENSE?!?!?! Shocked

Considering the strength of this draft (right now, like 4+ months early) assuming they take a defensive player in the 1st round, there's a lot of RBs likely to be at #64 that I like better than any of the TEs likely to be there.

Both, Cook is going to be 30. He'll be signed on a very short deal, draft a rook to take over in a year or two.

This. Not sure why it needs to be one or the other. Given Jared Cook's history and his injury this year, I can't imagine teams are going to be tripping over themselves to sign him, and I'd venture a guess to say he'd like to return given his success this year. I think both sides would be receptive to a short term (2-3 years) modest deal that keeps him in Green Bay, and allows the Packers to develop a future TE. Rookie TE usually aren't high impact players in their first year, they usually come on in their 2nd year which makes perfect sense to pair with a Jared Cook re-sign.

I'm not sure a three year deal is crazy for him.

I agree we can still draft a TE early with him, I just don't see nearly the pressure to find someone there and I'd lean any defensive position of similar value.
