Ward is 6'5" with a 6'10" wingspan, is it really that impressive for him to dunk a basketball?

You don't have to be athletic to dunk a basketball at that height/weight.

Keep telling yourself that...

Where are all the other vids of DTs throwing down double clutch reverse dunks?

Keep sleeping.

Yeah. Definitely harder then these guys are making it seem. But his game tape shows how athletic he is.

Whoooo - #Raiders scouts just walked out of meeting with # DE Jihad Ward.

This was from Jan 16th, shows they really liked him and was a target all along. Hope he works out.

Good to know. While I dont think they would always a thought in the back of your mind about taking a panic pick.

According to the NFL rankings pre draft and Mayock's big board he went right were he was suppose to.

I liked him back in early Mar but had he mocked in the 4th before his stock jumped. I believe in the scouts, Reggie and Jethro Franklin after the picking of Jelly, MEJ and even Orr as an UDFA and the improvement of Autry and Mack from year one to year two.

I dont love the pick but in my opinion he's a freak. Just look at his body, probably less than 20% body fat, crazy long arms, agile, balanced upper and lower body girth and a decent first step. You would only think he's unathletic if you looked at his forty. Athleticly he compares very well to Muhammad Wilkerson. The best thing about his game though is that really really high motor. And seeing him in OTA videos his burst looks very good. He can play 3-4-5-6 and 7 technique. I'm no longer mad at the pick but the coaches have to mold him.

That's not a regular dunk, come on man. He brought the ball down to his knee while in the air.

I would have rather traded up with our 2016 2nd round pick and our 2016 4th round pick to get WR-Sterling Shepard or traded down, grab some extra draft picks, and draft DT-Javon Hargrave.

I wasnt very excited during the draft, but you have to at least give these guys a shot. There is no guarantee either of those guys will be more successful than Ward. So I wont complain about this draft anymore until they prove they cant play football. There is a lot of upside with our draft and I just hope our coaches can get everything out of them. I wasnt that happy with the MEJ pick last year. Well in 1 year he changed my opinion of him quite a bit.
