Do you trap IT like we did George and Derozan? Here are the monsterous problems Boston faces:

1. Rebounding- We've seen TT destroy Al Horford. Kevin Love will rebound like crazy as well. Lebron will be Lebron. It doesn't matter how well Boston defends if the Cavs keep getting 2nd and 3rd chances.

2. 3 point shooting- Boston can't shoot 3's like we can.

3. Lebron James- I mean lol. He's destroyed Golden State who is light years ahead of Boston defensively. He's playing better than he has in years. This is the peak of an all time great player. He's going to put IT on an island in pick and roll. It will be ugly watching him and Kyrie ruthlessly attack him. It's going to be like this for 40+ minutes.

Lol yep.

Let's get this one wrapped up in 4 also.

I don't trap IT, I make him go apesht for the whole series against a combo of Shump, JR and LeBron, rotating to keep those guys fresh.

I'm just hoping to come out of this series clean/without injuries and in 4-5 games.

At full strength vs. GS we have a shot, although I still don't like the odds...but never bet against the best player on the planet, even if GS is a Super Team.

I almost would let IT get his but make him work for it with a tough defender like shump or JR on him and just try to shut everyone else down.

I really hope Boston thinks Kelly O is going to be a difference maker. Yeah he was hitting some shots but Gortat wasnt coming out of the paint to defend it. TT has the ability to do that, so he wont see open shots like that

Something not really talked about. How the F does Isaiah Thomas guard JR Smith? JR has a 9 inch height advantage. Hell, I'd put in Korver if JR is cold.

He doesn't really.

He'll hope to play him close and crowd him I'd imagine and make him put it on the deck. It's not JR's game and IT has no chance of disrupting his jump shot if he gives him any space.

I mean even if JR is cold, just play Kyle.

That matchup is not going to end well for Boston. The entire series is lopsided because of our athleticism, size, and shooting. Lebron could also just go monster mode and say F you to anything Boston does well anyways. Laughing

This could be like Atlanta when we swept them.

Lebron is the boogeyman of the eastern conference. He decides who comes through.

Picking nits, but I'd like to see Kyrie get it going this series. He's below 40% FG and 28% 3PT in the playoffs after having what I thought was his best regular season.

If Lebron is playing like that tho, its going to be hard looking else where. I think he will get it going when he needs to get going. Last night was one of the few times that Irving could just take a back seat to everyone.
