Is a straight trade for Melo a option? Then sign Rose.

Surely Rose and Melo is better than Irving?

I'd throw up if we traded Irving for Melo straight up. The Knicks would need to throw in at least an unprotected draft pick as well. Even then I wouldn't be very happy.

Leaves them with Kyrie, Butler, and Towns....not a bad big 3.

Don't get to tired up in the preferred destinations. He doesn't have a no trade clause

yeah I dont get the preferred destinations by him. Cavs dont have to accommodate for you when you come in and ask for a trade. He has no leverage as a player on the contract he has.

His only really leverage is to maybe sit out but you no his partners in advertisement are going to want him on the court. You know Nike wouldnt be happy with one of their signature players not playing and not being on the floor. He cant play overseas because of his contract.

It shouldnt scare other teams away, he cant just walk. He will still have two more years I believe. So another team could trade for him and maybe he likes them or they are able to swing him in another deal.

Well the good thing is that Kyrie is still under contract for a few more years, so we don't have to get rid of him for nothing. A team needs to offer something truly good. It'd be nice to know what LeBron is going to do after next year, but I doubt even he knows yet.

Phoenix would be an ideal trading partner. Not sure if we could land Jackson, but I'd want at least two of these three players: Bledsoe, Booker and Jackson.

Hmmmm.....just this week, LBJ "placed" one of his guys (James Jones) in the Phoenix front office.

Probably. Wink But hey, we all love conspiracy theories.

Unfortunately, I think that we are about to see them.....

Any truth to the rumor that this was the last shot of David Griffin on his way out of town?

Phoenix Gets:

Kevin Love

Cleveland Gets:

Eric Bledsoe
2018 1st round pick

San Antonio Gets:

Kyrie Irving

Cleveland Gets:

Danny Green
LaMarcus Aldridge

PG: Eric Bledsoe/Derrick Rose/Kay Felder
SG: Danny Green/J.R. Smith/Kyle Korver

If I was to tell you that there is a person who believes that the earth is flat, doesn't want to play with LeBron. He wants to be the focal point of a team like he was from 2011-2014 in which his team was awful. Would you think that person might be the dumbest person ever?

That would be a pretty good team. I think the Cavs would have to give up a contract or two to get it to really work I believe

That's bad. No reason to add love in this deal at all. Aldridge looks like crap and whines all the time about not being the man in San Antonio. And green is past his prime. Love is better than both of them.

We should get a boatload for Irving.

Two very good players for now or one good player for now and good draft picks for later.

Something is telling me that this is going to work out well for us.

What's the chances we can come out of this Irving trade and still win the finals and keep Lebron. I think we need to get younger and deeper. At this point I'd keep Love. He's are only other all star. Trade Irving in a three team deal to Minnesota and hope they bite on a deal

Minnesota- Irving, Frye
Phoenix- Shumpert, Shabazz Mohammed, Deing
Cleveland - Eric Bledsoe, Andrew Wiggins, TJ Warren

Sign Rose

PG - Bledsoe, Rose
SG - Wiggins, JR
SF - Lebron
PF - Love
C - TT

Or how about this trade for the cavs.

Denver - Irving
Phoenix- Jamaal Murray, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye
Cleveland - Eric Bledsoe, Wilson Chandler, Gary Harris, 1st round pick

Find a way for us to get a backup center and I would be game for sure.

I recently saw an article that said the Suns would part with Bledsoe and their number 4 overall pick Josh Jackson. I like that.

Devin Booker would be nice instead of Jackson.

Jackson is just too young for the Cavs, they need guys with some experience.

I hear ya....and agree

I just have a hard time trying to balance "going for it" for possibly only a year vs. getting younger and building towards the future.

I think Bledsoe and Jackson does a little of both.

It's scary because it's our biggest competition in the East, but one of the better offers I have seen (if true) is Thomas, Crowder, and a future 1st.
