First round picks? Did y'all just start watching the NBA 3 months ago?

This team is trying to win titles, not develop rookies who won't be worth a damn until 2020.

Well with the rumors of James wanting to leave after next year, Cavs might need to start the rebuilding when they trade Irving. Heck maybe that leads to them trading James too and getting even more picks and young talent.

Why cant Cleveland have nice things...

If they trade him for picks, James will leave and no one will blame him.

Gilbert had better be pretty damned sure LeBron is leaving IMO to even consider it.

This franchise may never be in this situation again so they might as well go all in IMO.

Eff a rebuild right now.

Minny is one of his preferred destinations

Wiggins and Dieng?

Leaves them with Kyrie, Butler, and Towns....not a bad big 3.

Is a straight trade for Melo a option? Then sign Rose.

Surely Rose and Melo is better than Irving?

Some folks may disagree about his defense...

I still think the Knicks makes sense Melo and like 2-3 first round picks for Kyrie, and then we sign D Rose.

I like that a lot get Bron his boy position ourselves for the future and there's a PG there ready to take over as starter

As has been mentioned, we are in "win now" mode. I like the idea of getting future picks, but Melo for Kyrie is not going to make this team better...even if we sign Rose.

Agreed.

If Bledsoe and Booker can be had I think that could be a good deal and they type we need.

More depth, more defense and more youth.

Phoenix - Kyrie Irving
Nuggets - Love
Cavaliers - Devon Booker, Eric Bledsoe, Kenneth Faried, Emmanuel Mudiay

Sign Rose
Trade Emmanuel Mudiay and whatever else to knicks for Melo

IF this is true I'm a sad dude. Kyrie is my favorite modern day Cavalier Crying or Very sad I'll miss playoff Kyrie. We don't win the championship without him.

Well the good thing is that Kyrie is still under contract for a few more years, so we don't have to get rid of him for nothing. A team needs to offer something truly good. It'd be nice to know what LeBron is going to do after next year, but I doubt even he knows yet.

Phoenix would be an ideal trading partner. Not sure if we could land Jackson, but I'd want at least two of these three players: Bledsoe, Booker and Jackson.
