Brock will be just fine. Houston will put pieces around Brock to take some of the tension off of him. Our line will be an issue but it's not as bad as Denver's was this passed season

Our line was an issue, seems like they are committed to rebuilding it. Let 2 of the 5 starters go and will start replacing them and adding depth in the coming weeks.

You have to appreciate that they did do something for a change! I hope it was the right one.

Said earlier today that for me among QBs "available" he was third on my list behind only Goff and Wentz.

Given the amount we'd have to pay to get up to get them he is definitely the best option even at this price. He does scare me. He is by no means a sure thing, but it was a move we had to make.

And truth is 18M isn't that much. It makes him the 15th highest paid QB per spotrac. And many of the contracts were signed before the big jump in salary cap.

Looks like a $21 million cap hit in 2016 for Osweiler. All $37 guaranteed in the first two years of his deal . Essentially a two year deal.

Love it even more now. Gives us more cap space to work with this offseason.

Even though we (relatively) overpaid for him, at least we didn't torch draft picks a la the Schaub acquisition. Perhaps he keeps improving and we got a great QB at a fair price. Or maybe he flames out hard and we walk away after a couple of years. We'll see.

I look at it this way. He would have been my 3rd ranked QB in this draft behind Wentz and Goff. Him and Lynch are close. They play similar. We essentially got a potential franchise QB while still having our first rounder.

I loved Brock at the press conference, very humble yet confident guy. I liked that he recognized he took too many sacks but also valued protecting the football.

I think we need someone to make a "If you smell what the Brock is cooking" sig

Off topic rant, but god damn UH people needs to let this Keneum crap go. They bashing the Texans because we didn't give Keenum a fair shake. They were never Texans fans to begin with. Im probably the biggest UH fan there is but even I cant be a homer about Keenum like these clowns are. Blaze knows what Im talking about. Rolling Eyes

Rant over
