Not sure why we haven't made a thread for this. Huge move for O'Brien and Rick Smith to get him. Thought for sure he would resign with Denver. Excellent fit for O'Brien's offense. If he can get good seasons out of Fitzpatrick and Hoyer (by their standards) I want to see how he does with Brock. We finally have our QB now! Very Happy

Thats a huge deal on the surface. But it is nice to see this regime take a chance and roll the dice.

I can't help thinking with this complete 180 on FA strategy that someone besides Rick Smith is running things. Did we miss that "promotion" everyone wants for Ricky?

Hate the signing even if it were less steep.

This guy is not the answer.

Miller is ok I guess but now we've lost Brooks and Jones.

Not happy.

Why not roll the dice and move up in the draft?

Texans love them some immobile white QBs.

Trash...

Not a fan of the price but I am happy to see that we went after the best QB available.

With so many needs on this team, we couldn't afford to move up. Now Osweiler, Miller, and now Allen makes us be more flexible in the draft to address the other needs assuming we don't sign any more guys in free agency.

I like the move. Apparently the increased salary cap is allowing for teams to sign players to nonsensical contracts like this one so I don't really mind the price. My only complaint is that I think the salary will prohibit the coaching staff from having a genuine competition between he and Savage, and I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that Savage could beat him out in TC, especially considering the 2 year head start in the system that he's got.

Brock is sneaky athletic. He seems slow because of his height, but he can move around and run for yards when needed. You should watch some video on him.

Kubiak made Rosenfels look pretty good with his schemes. This is no different. Osweiler is not the answer imo. If I'm wrong I'll be happy about it.

Brock will be just fine. Houston will put pieces around Brock to take some of the tension off of him. Our line will be an issue but it's not as bad as Denver's was this passed season
