Yea. Had some really fortunate Bloodmage Thalnos combos with Fan of Knives and Backstabs to always keep his board clear.

Are these jackasses actually listening to us?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPUG0lJpqJY

TL;DW:
Every time you open a legendary card it will be guaranteed to be one that you don't have before.
Everyone will be guaranteed to open a new legendary card within the first ten packs of the new set.
Both of these changes will start when the next expansion hits.

The jackasses have heard our cries

Quote:
In an upcoming update, we will be making a balance change to the Rogue card: The Caverns Below.

The Caverns Below now reads: Quest: Play five minions with the same name. Reward: Crystal Core.

Since the release of Journey to Un'Goro, Hearthstone has enjoyed a wider variety of competitively viable classes and decks than ever before. We’ve been monitoring overall gameplay, and we’ve decided that—even though everything is varied and many decks are viable—a change to The Caverns Below is still warranted.

The Caverns Below is uniquely powerful versus several slower, control-oriented decks and played often enough that it’s pushing those decks out of play. This change should help expand the deck options available to players both now and after the release of the next expansion.

One thing I'd also like is if you couldn't prep out the quest. Prepping out the quest for 2 mana is also a really big deal. Maybe that would actually kill the quest, but that's okay with me.

I've never seen Kibler get salty/upset about anything. The Rogue Quest will do that to you. Such a horrible design.

I like Kibler so much more as a Hearthstone player than as a Magic player.

Magic is just so much more of a serious game. Hearthstone fits his personality a lot more imo

Okay so, a lot of people are sick of Mage right now. And since the Hall of Fame now exist, people are starting to tall about what they should rotate out of the classic set for Mage. I'm seeing people talk about removing Ice Block from standard. That would be such a joke. I know it's frustrating to play against, but Mage needs Ice Block. It's too core to the class.

Maybe you rotate out something like Alexstraza, but I'm kinda meh on that as well. Mage is really good, but so are most of the other classes.

Another popular one to rotate into the hall of fame is Gadgetzan Auctioneer. I can see why people want this card out, but at the same time, it's only used in two decks right now.

I could get behind Ice Block going HoF.

Two cards I'd really like to see go are Mana Wyrm and Northshire Cleric. Tired of 1 mana 1/3s with infinite value.

Why? Ice Block is core to the class. If you remove that, then remove Prep from Rogue. Remove Wild Growth from Druid. Remove Fiery War Axe from Warrior. It's way too harsh.

There's no reason to remove Mana Wyrm and Cleric. You have to be careful when talking about removing a card like Cleric. Priest already doesn't have too many great early game options and you taking away card draw from the class as well.

Is this a game I can just play casually every once in a while, and without spending money? Will I be matched up against other new/bad players?

Yea, you can play it casually and not spend money, but don't expect to be able to build any good decks. You're honestly so behind and missing so many cards, I feel bad for anyone starting right now and not spending any money.

RIP

I just watched Kolento vs RDU in the semi-finals game and Kolento literally won the last game of the set because he drew a Prep off the top. RDU had a win, only card Kolento could draw in his entire deck to win was Prep and he drew it.

Wow.

Can I get anything worthwhile by practicing against the computer? What is the best way to get new cards?
