He's only a true sophomore but I figured I'd start the bandwagon since he's going to be a good one. What do you guys think of his NFL potential? I'm biased but I really think he could be special.

He's the youngest player ever to throw for 4000+ yards, run for 450+, throw for 30+ TD's and run for 10+ TD's, and he still has a game left. Very random cut offs but still impressive. Yes, the system we run allows him to put up those kinds of numbers but he still has to go out and execute.

Positives:
- Great size for the position at 6'3", 220 lbs
- Cannon of an arm (also pitches for our baseball team)
- Good accuracy (65% completion)
- Great mobility and escapability

Negatives:
- Sometimes tries to force throws that aren't there
- System questions

Those are only highlights but it shows you a little of what he can do. I wish there was one of those full game videos that shows his misses as well.

My NFL comparison for him is Donovan McNabb. What are your thoughts on him, and do you see a future NFL QB here like I do?

By far the highest upside of any QB since RG3 and Luck

Also he looks small to me maybe 6'2 195

The biggest question with him, as with most Air-Raid QBs, is how is he going to react to facing more consistent pressure in the pocket? Mahomes has everything you need in a QB, but from what I've seen he really tends to force things, especially downfield, if he is pressured in the pocket.

Not even chuckle worthy. Your trolling is usually better than this. Try harder.

Yeah, he's in that mode where he always tries to make a play, even when there isn't one there to be made.

More than a few times it's worked out for him but it's not something you want in a QB. He needs to learn that sometimes it's okay to throw the ball away etc.

Looks like he could be a good 1, let's see if he pans out or not.

Anyone watch our game tonight?

Mahomes was insane going against a really good defense.

Fun to watch but definitely has a ways to go. Has all the physical tools but a very unorthodox style.

He flashed his strengths but also his weaknesses. Next year will be big for him.

well this is good timing. yesterday I posted this in the 2016 thread but

Quote:
but I want to get peoples opinions on Patrick Mahomes? Yeah I know numbers are inflated and the Texas Tech offense doesn't do him any favors in terms of prostyle development but when you break him down what do you see?

I'm not particularly high on him obviously he has a lot of work to do but the physical tools are there. Obviously he has at least another season to grow and get better before there's any real scouting report

I think he has potential don't get me wrong and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him in every tech game I watch ( I watch a lot cause I have crush on Kliff)

I just think the jury is still out. I like him, I just don't know if he's going to be a NFL QB

I mean, he should've been sacked 15 times last night. Don't really blame him when he's running for his life every down.

Bump. Keeping the hype train going for everyones most hated prospect. Cool

30/43, 483 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT
10 rushes, 57 yards, 2 TD

In just over a half in week 1.

Can't wait to see how many people change their tunes when he goes round 1 in 2018.
