Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter

Packers OC Tom Clements is leaving the team, per Mike McCarthy. His contract is expiring.

Doesn't McCarthy call the plays? I feel like he needs to find an OC to do that.

Kind of a nothing move for them. Edgar Bennett was also named "offensive coordinator" just about a year ago in February.

Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson missed the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL, but he didn’t show any sign that his injury robbed him of the skills that made him one of the NFL’s top receivers upon his return to action in 2016. Nelson caught 97 passes for 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns while helping the Packers pull off a late season run that made them the NFC North champions. Nelson’s performance was recognized by the Associated Press voters on Saturday night when he was named the league’s comeback player of the year.

No real surprises there. I doubt either player plays again

Hoepfully, for his health, he just retires.

Shields has said that he wants to continue playing, despite still having periodic headaches. The Packers avoid a salary of $8 million by releasing him; they’ll carry a cap charge of $3.125 million arising from the final chunk of his signing bonus.

T.J. Lang said on Sirius XM NFL Radio Monday that he has not heard anything from the Packers since the end of the season in regard to a deal that would keep him in the organization. The Packers have until March 7 before Lang can have conversations with other teams, so there’s a fair amount of time for the team to chat with Lang about their plans for 2017 and beyond.

Once March 7 rolls around, the Packers and Lang would get a chance to see how other teams value the veteran blocker. That could work out well for a reunion or it could lead to an offer to join another team that Lang doesn’t refuse.

The team announced three additions to head coach Mike McCarthy’s staff on Monday and added that those moves leave them with their full staff in place for next season.

Jeff Blasko will be the team’s assistant offensive line coach after spending last year as a coaching administrator. Tim McGarigle left his post as the linebackers coach at the University of Illinois to take a job as defensive quality control coach and David Raih has been named the offensive perimeter coach after spending last year as the assistant offensive line coach.

What, in God's name, is an "offensive perimeter coach"? Is that along the lines of that dumb "spread game analyst" or does the coach just coach the players how to toe the sideline?

I have no clue, I tried finding it on google and nothing really appears besides Packer stuff.

I am glad they kept Dom Capers.

Defensive tackle B.J. Raji left a contract offer from the Packers on the table around this time last year and announced that he’d be taking a “hiatus” from the NFL so that he could help take care of his ill mother and aunt. That hiatus remains in effect and there’s no sign that Raji will be reversing course to resume his career during the 2017 season. His agent Brian Murphy said that members of the Packers organization have kept in touch with Raji and he believes they’d like him back in the fold, but Raji’s focus remains elsewhere.

Packers center Corey Linsley will be rehabbing after ankle surgery this offseason. Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports that Linsley had surgery after the season ended to clean up issues left from a high ankle sprain that Linsley suffered during the 2015 season. Linsley missed the first seven games of last season due to a hamstring injury that a source told Demovsky resulted from compensating for the ankle problem.

Linsley is expected to be ready to resume football activities in mid-May, although the report notes the team might keep Linsley out until training camp to ensure he’s all the way back to 100 percent before returning to the field.

Speaking in an interview on ESPN Wisconsin's Wilde & Tausch that aired Wednesday morning, Rodgers was asked if reports that Glennon, with 18 career starts, might get $15 million per year on the open market should lead to discussions about his own contract.

"I think it has to," Rodgers said. "I think it has to."

Rodgers then chuckled and added, "I don't think I need to expand on that."
