Let's make a deal. We give you Monta, you give LAC Hibbert, and we get DeAndre. How's that sound?

As @daldridgetnt just tweeted, Wes Matthews has officially given a verbal commitment to the Mavs after turning Sacramento down

#Mavs can stay loose on Wes Matthews $ specifics while they wait on big(ger) fish. KEY persuasive work by Dallas.

Wes coming to Dallas. Hopefully that helps to sway DAJ our direction.

Harris
Wes
Parsons
Dirk
DAJ

Not a bad starting 5, if Wes can come back healthy.

I'd like Lin or Joseph as the PG. I actually don't mind Lin. His defense isn't that good, but he fits the system, as a good offensive player who can move the ball.

Lin/ Harris
Matthews
Parsons/Anderson
Dirk/Morris
Jordan

Plus we may S&T Tyson to PHX for Markieff and a filler.

Lin is a much better defender than he gets credit for. He's not great, but he's solid enough that he won't be a liability. And with Lin and Matthews, it'll be the first time in a while we can probably say we don't have a liability defensively in the backcourt.

I'm pretty sure Lin's reputation as a bad defender is well earned.

I'd trade Harris and Felton for Ty Lawson. Add a third team so the Nuggets don't wind up with so many PGs.

Of course you would, Nuggets would laugh you off the phone though. They don't have their 1st next year most likely, so their best offer would be Justin Anderson, 2018 1st, and salary filler for Lawson. I feel they could do better than that.

Absoultely. Lawson isn't a realistic possibility, but I just like throwing it out there because that's my style. You know how I do CWood. Wink Cool Razz

However, a third team could make it more interesting, and maybe the trade doesn't have to happen during the offseason. Maybe Dallas gets some bargain signings and can send them to Denver as the fillers. Not to mention sweeteners like 2nd round picks and cash.

Still not realistic, but it is starting to look better.
