I still think the Pistons are a bigger threat than anyone else in the East to Cleveland.

This roster just isn't that good. Reggie is overrated, Drummond is a one trick pony on offense, and everyone else is under achieving their expectations developmentally. I have been hearing for five years how great Tobias Harris could be and the potential he has yet it shows up once every 5 games if we are lucky. I think they need to blow it up. Trade everyone they can and start over because this team is stuck in 6-10 seed purgatory and will be there until they find a true superstar.

Great attempt at a comeback by the Pistons, credit where credit is due.
That being said, tests have confirmed that Paul George is in fact the Pistons' father.

I like what we've done this offseason, I really do. Ish Smith and Jon Leuer should help to form a now competent bench.

However, and I know it's the cynic in me so feel free to shoot all of this down, I'm starting to worry that we're headed down a path of being very good but perhaps never a serious contender.

I realize that our core is incredibly too young to make that assertion at this point but I'm fairly disappointed over Horford going to Boston. I feel like that would've made us a 55 win team and instead his decision will make it fairly difficult for us to join the true upper echelon of the East next season, not that it will be impossibe by any means.

Also, let's hope disaster (KD joining the Celtics) doesn't strike over the next 24 hours.

I mean we did sign Andre Drummond to a max contract. Almost INSURES that the Pistons will never win anything... ever.

I'm just that guy though. I've wanted to move him for awhile because he'll tie up all the money but never be the player to count on to win you games.

Then, come the other Pistons moves... With the only legit shot of them making real noise in the east when they were rumored to be after Horford. Wish they signed him because the combo of Drummond/Horford would of been one of the best in the whole league and should of grabbed us 4th in east.

Idk, you all can get giddy over signing junk players to the bench, but honestly, they're all paid too much to do what they're expected to do. Basketball more than most sports just seems stupid... Really we just paid a three point specialist 40 million dollars, 10 million average? REALLY! Idk, hopefully these players, give back with all the money they've made because the entertainment value of themselves doesn't match what they get.

* Consolation prize is... At least we're not the Lakers.

Things I actually like about the Pistons... Marcus Morris, Tobias Harris, Reggie Jackson.

Reggies 85M, like... I mouthed off about it last year, but holy fricken bargain compared to Mike Conley.

Some seen this coming before a game was even played.

We suck because we paid the wrong people and made the wrong moves. Even Reggie is a bit of a mistake at this point. Laughing

Yeah Reggie "hero ball" Jackson must be moved.

We have to shoot better from distance and stop letting teams shoot 40% or better from three.

Dre was an animal and his performance wasted because Reggie wanted to be IT4

Pistons a game out of 8th seed and at 22-27 overall after a much needed win at home vs Pels.

KCP dropped 38 and had 8 3PM tonight. Reggie sat much of the second half while team flow and momentum much better with Ish on the floor. Dre looked good offensively too. Stanley was awesome off the bench with his D and overall play. Tobias the ever consistent contributor.

This team really needs better shooting still. 29th in the league in points per shot, 26th in 3P%, and of course one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the league. I like a lot of the moves SVG has made but without another player emerging as a star then aren't going to win anything. KCP has his nights and has had a great year so far but until he can be consistently effective he is still a secondary piece imo. I am definitely happy with Leuer and Boban!

apparently pistons are shopping baynes and boban Laughing ... thanks for overpaying to pry our bench bigs away

baynes is at least a serviceable player whereas boban is basically a mascot (for 21 mil)... still miss the memes though

What you were saying then isn't really supporting what's happening now. Jon Leuer and Ish were good bench signings. Guys like Reggie and Marcus, 2/3 things you liked, are part of the reason that team's been a disappointment.

There are legitimate questions to raise about Andre. I'm not sure what the solution is, but it probably starts with moving Reggie.
