Over/under Danny Welbeck scores 10 goals next season

Hm.. probably under if he's out on the wing most of the time. If he plays centrally he could score 15ish, but he wouldn't start there over Giroud. Maybe not even over Walcott.

I'll say 8 goals.

Jose can have Podoldski if he is so adamant about a player swap. Otherwise, he needs to understand the situation and come to the realization that he has no leverage here.

Roman will let him go.

He actually has all the leverage because Chelsea don't need to let him go. Personally I would not sell him to any PL club and just let him sit on the bench if there are no other offers.

Kind of crappy to a player who has been a good servant to the club and who you have made the second choice keeper. He's still under contract so it is the clubs decision but you would think they might let someone who has been in the side for so long move on when he is no longer the starter.

Please explain to me how Mourinho has leverage. The player is demanding a transfer, has one year left on his current deal, and wants to stay in London. Chelsea can hold out if they so choose, but risk receiving nothing in exchange for him. If he is truly gung-ho about joining Arsenal, then he can always come on a free next year too. There is an inevitable ending here if the reports are true, and the club owes him more respect than relegating him to bench duty for another season.

We went through the same saga with RVP.

Mourinho will let him leave. For what Cech has done he will grant his wish but Im sure Arsenal aren't the only club interested in his services.

But it's the most logical for him. He's staying in London and Spurs are of a different class.

Yeah. If anything because Jose is Jose - and he's the sort to see this as some sort of "Ah ha! I still got one over on you, Frenchie!" fete - I could see him dragging his heels on the sale to try and give Cech and the Arsenal side as little time as possible to get familiar with one another (i.e. at least past the preseason, possibly even through the Community Shield - though then "the press would pick on him for being such a meanie to Petr" and we all know how Jose hates that).

Kike Marin saying the deal is close.. he hasn't always been correct or in the know with these things, but FWIW he seems to have been following the situation for a few weeks - also insists that Emiliano Martinez is the 'future'. Not sure if I see where he's coming from there.
