Gotta try and defend my title!

2 trades. First one at pick 7

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston QB, Florida State

Best QB in the draft. Fits a need. Nuff said.

2. Tennessee Titans: Leonard Williams DT/DE, Southern California

Arguably the biggest talent in the draft. Can't pass up on upgrading the D-Line in a big way.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dante Fowler OLB, Florida

Best edge rusher in the draft. Too hard to pass up.

4. Oakland Raiders: Kevin White WR, West Virginia

Carr had a good rookie season, but he has to throw to someone. This gives him a serious target.

5. Washington Redskins: Vic Beasley OLB, Clemson

Great LB to replace Orakpo.

6. New York Jets: Marcus Mariota QB, Oregon

About time the Jets got a respectable QB.

7.TRADE: #7 for #11, #74 Minnesota Vikings: Amari Cooper WR, Alabama

Bridgewater, as a young QB, desperately needs a reliable WR. So they give up a 3rd to get one.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Alvin Dupree DE, Kentucky

It all starts at the line. Dupree gives them someone to build around on defense.

9. New York Giants: Brandon Scherff OT, Iowa

Eli Manning isn't getting younger and won't last much longer on his back. Protect him or he'll be done soon.

10. St. Louis Rams: DeVante Parker WR, Louisville

Foles can be good. But he needs a true No. 1 WR to throw to.

11. Chicago Bears: Trae Waynes CB, Michigan State

Their defense was horrible last year. The Bears trade back, land the top CB, and pick up a 3rd rounder.

12. Cleveland Browns: Danny Shelton NT, Washington

Shelton is great, but he is not a top 5 pick. Cleveland is first team where he could fit outside of the first 5. Shelton fits a need and fits the scheme, what more could you ask for?

13. New Orleans Saints: Randy Gregory LB, Nebraska

Great edge rusher, but drops partly because of off the field issues, but mostly because he doesn't have the size to play a 4-3 DE. Great talent to upgrade the LB core

14. TRADE: #14 for #17, #83 San Diego Chargers: Todd Gurley RB, Georgia

Ryan Matthews left in free agency. They need a replacement. Who better to replace the ok/good Matthews than a possibly elite talent in Gurley

15. San Fransisco 49ers: Jalen Strong WR, Arizona State

WR isn't a huge need anymore. But Strong is too good to pass up.

16. Houston Texans: Shane Ray OLB, Mizzou

A Clowney/Ray OLB tandem to go with the Watt/Wilfork tandem up front would just be unfair.

17. Miami Dolphins: Kevin Johnson CB, Wake Forest

Can't resist getting another great corner to opposite Grimes.

18. Kansas City Chiefs: Dorial Green-Beckham WR, Oklahoma

The Maclin signing was great, but one WR isn't enough for a team with NO WR production last year. Green-Beckham has star potential, but has fallen due to off the field issues.

19. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo): Breshad Perriman WR, Central Florida

The Browns need a WR. So they get the best available.

20. Philadelphia Eagles: Marcus Peters CB, Washington

No WR worthy of a top 20 pick left. So the Eagles upgrade the defensive backfield.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Malcom Brown DT, Texas

Cincinnati needs to upgrade the D-Line. They took care of DE with Johnson, but they need someone other than Peko, who was hard to watch last year, at DT. Brown takes care of that.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Landon Collins SS, Alabama

The defensive backfield was embarrassed often last year. Collins is the replacement for the old Polamalu.

23. Detroit Lions: Andrus Peat OT, Stanford

Detroit had a great defense last year, but to take the next step, they need to win in both the trenches. Peat heads them in the position to do that

24. Arizona Cardinals: Melvin Gordon RB, Wisconsin

Andre Ellington is not panning out. This gives them a solid RB and also puts pressure on Ellington to fight for time on the field.

25. Carolina Panthers: Ereck Flowers OT, Miami

Cam Newton needs time to find the few targets he has.

26. Baltimore Ravens: Maxx Williams TE, Minnesota

A bit of a stretch, but they badly need a TE.

27. Dallas Cowboys: Byron Jones CB, UCONN

The Cowboys were terrible at CB last year and thins year will be no different unless they address CB in the draft.

28. Denver Broncos: Cameron Erving C, Florida State

Just like his brother, they gotta keep Manning upright or he'll be done soon. Denver gets the best center in the draft.

29. Indianapolis Colts: Erik Kendricks LB, UCLA

Last year Indianapolis was lacking a good MLB, so they get the best available.

30. Green Bay Packers: Benardrick McKinney LB, Mississippi State

Green Bay cut Hawk and Matthews needs to be on the edge. McKinney is a good replacement for Hawk.

31. New Orleans Saints (from Seattle): Phillip Dorsett WR, Miami

The Saints did good drafting Cooks last year, but after trading Graham, the saints need another target for the aging QB Brees.

32. New England Patriots: Eddie Goldman DT, Florida

Young replacement for Wilfork.

^^No way the Bears pass on Amari Cooper, to trade the pick to Minny of all teams. (I know this is a competition thread, that just stood out to me.)

[Will add mock here later]

This was way tougher than I thought. I changed it a bunch of times (and I probably should have changed it a bunch more.) Sorry in advance if I gave your team crap. This is why I comment on other people's drafts instead of making my own.

I have 3 trades (first being at #7) but I could easily see there being others.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston
2. Tennessee Titans - Marcus Mariota
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Dante Fowler
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White
5. Washington Redskins - Leonard Williams
6. New York Jets - Amari Cooper

Trade #1: Saints give up #13 and some 2nd/3rd day picks to make this fair value.
7. New Orleans Saints - Vic Beasley
8. Atlanta Falcons - Bud Dupree
9. New York Giants - Andrus Peat
10. St. Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff
11. Minnesota Vikings - Marcus Peters
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton
13. Chicago Bears - DeVante Parker
14. Miami Dolphins - Todd Gurley
15. San Francisco 49ers - Trae Waynes

Trade 2: I don't know if it's going to be the Cowboys, but I feel like someone is going to try to move in front of the Chargers for Gordon. Jerry Jones is a gunslinger, so maybe it's him.
16. Dallas Cowboys - Melvin Gordon

17. San Diego Chargers - Randy Gregory
18. Kansas City Chiefs - La'el Collins
19. Cleveland Browns - Breshard Perriman
20. Philadelphia Eagles - Byron Jones
21. Cincinnati Bengals - D.J. Humphries
22. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kevin Johnson
23. Detroit Lions - Cameron Erving
24. Arizona Cardinals - Shaq Thompson
25. Carolina Panthers - Ereck Flowers
26. Baltimore Ravens - Jalen Strong
27. Houston Texans - Eric Kendricks
28. Denver Broncos - TJ Clemmings
29. Indianapolis Colts - Damarious Randall
30. Green Bay Packers - Jalen Collins
31. New Orleans Saints - Arik Armstead

Trade #3: Again, not sure it's the Steeler, could easily be the Bears, but I just feel like someone is going to come back for him.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Landon Collins
[/b]
