I think Patterson is gone, he is going to get over paid by someone.

I think if he gets away we'll end up regretting it He's a perfect fit for our offense now.

With Patterson increasing his offensive role, along with a presumably favorable offensive scheme, and his prowess on special teams increasing from just being a superb returner to also being a good gunner, I think he would be a more favorable player to keep around over Wright and Johnson. I like Wright, and I'd like to keep him around too, but I'd be willing to part ways with both Jarius and Charles to keep Patterson at this point.

I'm not sure we will regret losing Patterson, as a WR. We aren't hurting at WR and losing Patterson may open up an opportunity for Treadwell. Jarius Wright isn't a bad option either if asked to step into the #3 or #4 spot.

I'd love to bring back Patterson, I think his work ethic has drastically improved and he's still a dynamic return man. The cost is the biggest concern for me. $3-4 million per year is the most I'd pay.

I don't want young assets leaving for nothing .. keep him even at a slight overpay ... we'll have the money and we'll be overpaying medium talent this offseason regardless, once the chance to overpay for higher talent doesn't [likely] work out for us.

I personally don't care whether he stays or goes. He'd be nice to keep around...if he truly wants to improve as a WR. But, if he wants to get paid serious money, then I'd just let him walk. I think the Vikings will be fine either way.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Patterson follow George Stewart to L.A. A change of scenery, a friend as the ST coach. Could even breath new life into his attempts at becoming a WR.

I really do think Patterson wants to stay. I don't know if he would take a discount to stay and it could just be lip service, but it seems that a defined role and playing time mean a little bit more to him than money

Vikings’ Cordarrelle Patterson: ‘I would love to play running back’

Honestly, they should seriously consider this. He has all the attributes to be a running back. Easily more gifted than rival Ty Montgomery.

I agree. Also, play-book a little easier for RB's in our scheme.

and that's that for that chapter with the Vikings.

Patterson signs a two year deal with the Raiders, that they can void after one year.

could we say Cordarrelle Patterson was gone in a...(wait for it)...Flash? Cool

(I know, I know. it would have been better had he signed on Day 1 but give me credit!)

hope he does well there, although it would have been nice if Musgrave was still there to use him.

I am somewhat concerned with Cordarrelle in that locker room, however, because knowing the history of a Jack Del Rio locker room, they aren't exactly all that disciplined...and I think Cordarrelle kind of needs that to be successful.
