Charles Johnson was cut. I would have prefered to cut some of the 12 DB we have.

Me too. I don't think they're done with moves, though. Ka'Waun Williams better not be popping any champagne corks just yet.

That's every coach's dream to have a player you coached play for the team you root for (Glenn Winston). Farmers has done a heluva job acquiring talented backs.

Im even more surprised now that they cut Ogby or Lewis since they brought another RB.

Neither OBGYN nor Lewis were one-cut, violent runners perfect for the ZBS like the 4 RBs we currently have on the roster.

I was really hoping they would let Rex give it a try in week 5 after hoyer gets beat up by the saints, ravens and steelers. Now it looks inevitable that Manziel will be pre-maturely put on the field.

I think we're trying to be like Seattle.

With 2 first rounders next season you have to see if Manziel is what you think he is or we may have to spend a pick on a QB in the first round again.

Also the day and age of sitting QBs is dead. First round QBs start and, if they don't, they either have a stubborn coach, (who will probably be fired) or are not good and are a bust.

Either way you have to know.

What I do not get is how Farmer has been so good at identifying and getting players at certain positions and fortified units (e.g. RB) and yet seemingly has had a blind spot/no plan/no rabbits to pull out the hat at WR?

Austin. Hawkins. Gabriel. Byrd.

Over half the WR corps weren't on the team last year.

Not sure what you're getting at.

RBs in this system are all about picking the right hole and fighting forward. All over 220 is a strong plan of action.

Why act like Farmer has known all along what is going to happen with Gordon? Has he known he failed a test and the result could be a one year ban? probably, but he also wasn't allowed to inform the rest of the coaching staff about that information either.

And if you look at the recent years for the Shanahan's offenses, there has been a #1 guy, then a bunch of somebodies. Which is exactly what the Browns have right now, but the #1 guy isn't available right now.

He's 21. I don't think we will see what he is anytime soon. Throwing him on the field with that offense isn't going to do anything except get him destroyed. If this is the case I can't wait to see what he's got when he steps in for an injured Russell Wilson in 3 years.
