At this point, I rather Crowell make the 53 than West.

I know it's only preseason but the dude is getting toasted out there.

I think he will be fine.

A bit more experience and technique and he should be good. He has the speed and the hips. He'll be OK

From what I saw during the game:

1 - Hoyer looked a lot more relaxed with the first team. His throws looked better and he actually drove the team down the field.

2 - Cundiff looked great. Always good to have a kicker that can make field goals in Cleveland.

3 - Our Defense seemed a lot better (minus McFadden of course) I'm liking what I'm seeing for Kirksey. That kid was all over the place.

4 - Manziel looked better as well. They had him running all over the place. Now he needs to do is sit down and work on his throws. He had some ugly ducks while in the pocket but somehow had better looking throws while on the run? Can someone explain that to me?

5 - Cromwell Makes The 53. Either Lewis goes or we keep 4 RBs. He won't make it to the PS.

6 - We gamble on trying to keep Shaw on the PS. Why do you think we were not letting him pass the ball? We didn't want anymore footage for whoever to try and steal him from us. Right now I doubt anyone wants him as a 3rd QB with as little footage as there is on him.

7 - 1 and 3 in preseason. I really hope we win more than 25% this year.

that is all

At this rate, I would rather have taken Watkins

Isn't cornerback the 2nd hardest position to adapt to in the NFL? Gilbert will be fine. There's some growing pains.

I think Crowell needed to make the roster even before last night. I hate Dion Lewis because he'll be hurt before the bye week as has been the story of his entire football career.

If they insist on keeping Lewis then carry 4 bc Crowell is not slipping to the PS.

Cut Connor Shaw and Rex Grossman both. No need to keep them especially Grossman. No one is going to pick him up anyway. If injuries happen to the point either of the two are forced to play we are screwed either way.

Our WRs are also a disaster. Johnson looks the part and has freakish tools. I love the guy more than the next but when is he ever going to show it?

A case could be made to keep both Ray Agnew and Marqueis Gray as well.

Tough tough decisions to make this year. Too much talent at some position and not enough at others.

I want to stick Shaw on the practice squad. Crowell has looked better than West, but that can change easily. RBs will be very interesting to watch.

West has looked almost as good as Ben Tate when you break it down and watch ever snap. He will only improve as well. He is still a pup in the league and learning as he goes. Over 80% of the bad look you get from Terrance West has been the failures of the pathetic depth at OL. Ben Tate has been running behind Bitonio who was the #1 ranked run blocker in preseason last I saw, Mack and Thomas. Terrance West has hardly any looks with the full first team around him if any at all. When he become the 2nd back in the rotation while still behind the 1st Oline our backfield is going to be nasty me thinks. If Hoyer can even be slightly decent I believe our running game can get 5+ yard a carry.

Why cut Grossman? He's at least a decent backup for a #3 spot.

Who is eligible for PS?

I like Tate, West and Crowell. Maybe Lewis.

Oby?
Agnew?

Why not? If we ever need him he will be available. No team will sign him.
I rather keep Shaw.

We can put Shaw on PS. We can't put Grossman there.

And why would you need Grossman there? To be a QB coach to teach Manziel the system? Hire him as assistant then.
I dont think Shaw will make it to PS, so i dont we can put him there, and if i have to choose between an old guy with no future in our team and a rookie, i keep the rookie.
