Rex Grossman has signed with the Browns, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

#Browns announced they've signed QB Rex Grossman and waived QB Tyler Thigpen

If they're reshuffling the veteran to find an upgrade, I'm thinking this also doesn't spell good news for Connor Shaw.

Good move. Thigpen was terrible against the 4th squad detroit all stars. Not something you want from your # 3 vet. I think he had a 5.6 QB rating.... As for Shaw, he is going to the PS.

that is all

nice. now Sexy Rexy gets to travel right back to DC to prove the RG3 and Cousins hype is all garbage and he's by far the superior quarterback

The less action Shaw sees the better chance he stays on the practice squad if that is our intentions. Unless he played awful anyway.

Not sure we need to keep a veteran QB behind Manziel/Hoyer anyway. The starter can return to a game now so there isn't a huge need for an emergency vet QB really but that emergency QB doesn't count against the 53 either unless they changed the rule.

Anyway this Thigpen to Grossman thread reminds me of an NFL News thread that isn't big enough news for NFL News and they say it can just be put in the teams subforum. This seems like it isn't big enough news to be put in the Browns sub forum it needs to go in the Browns sub forum sub forum. Or something like that. Very Happy

The question is who? The obvious team is Houston because they have Ryan Freaking Fitzpatrick. Bill O'Brien was with Hoyer his entire stint in NE. Hoyer left in 2011 (same with O'Brien)

If the plan is to trade Hoyer and just roll with Johnny, Rex and Shaw, then it is incumbent upon every person in the state of Ohio and Texas to continually pray for Johnny's good health.

I highly doubt that's the plan, though.

Also heard a few rumblings.

Sounds like Bill OBrien likes him.

This makes a ton of sense if we are thinking of shipping him in a package for AJ.

Who knows

DeVier Posey? DeAndre Hopkins?

Not sure how much Andre Johnson has left in the tank.
