So Hunter has been waived, Lattimore is injured. We could use a little bit of depth at guard. Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

Could we get away with trading Rainey instead?

I dunno about that, they still have Gore, Carlos Hyde, Anthony Dixon, and I thought Lattimore was good to go?

Apparently Marcus still having issues. I bet most of it is mental. Hard to shake that off.

I'd give James and a 3rd in a nanosecond for Boone.

They should feel pretty good about Gore and Hyde. No real need for another RB, to be honest.

Doubtful.

Losing James wouldn't be that bad, given our depth.

Not to sound like a Debbie Downer but this isn't happening. I mean is there even any credibility to him being traded or even traded to Tampa. Plus if he comes into a new system half way through camp it's not exactly a good situation for him. We are most likely rolling with who we have.

I don't think we are going to trade for Boone, but I wouldn't be surprised, when teams start to trim their rosters before the beginning of the season that we sign a veteran guard.

I was actually having this discussion with a co-worked who's a niner fan. A lot of us here are overrating Boone. Is he a good NFl starter? Yes. But he hasn't been a perennial pro bowler nor all pro. A 4th round pick and maybe a later round in 2016 with escalators could do it plus a 5 mm per year deal.

He's good but not great and plays on a great line. I thought he was underrated a bit until I started hearing comments that make him better than he is.

According to Bill Williamson, multiple teams are interested in trading for Boone, and he believes one of the teams could be the Bucs.

I'm hoping we do this. We can sign him to around 6.5-7 million a year. Rework Gerald's contract and next year we will be fine with the increased cap. Front load McCoy and Boones deal. McCoy is already making 15 million. We could realistically give him 22 million this year in a deal that averages 15 million a year(about what I think it will be, 3 million more than Atkins). That would still leave us with 10 million is space. Give Boone 8 million this year, all gtd and 8 next year before it dips down to 5.5-6 for remainder of contract.

We need to do this. I think Omamaeh(also from niners, go figure) could be a decent starter, but that's only one

I think Edwards could be good,

I don't think they even need James.
