There's been some rumbling Spiller might be traded.

The Bills also have Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon on the roster.

I don't think I've ever seen a 33 year old RB be given an extension.

There aren't many like Freddy.

Great move by Buffalo.

Other then Jason LA Canfora has anyone else said this?

Every year there is a rumour we are going to trade Spiller. Unlikely it ever happens. More valuable to the Bills this season on their roster then not on it.

Yeah, it feels like he's been around forever. He and Frank Gore are the rare ageless wonders of the RB position.

Old, but consistent. If he can stay healthy this is a good signing.

A lot of that has to do with not being given even close to starter carries in the NFL until 2009. He really doesn't have much wear on him all things considered, he might be old but his body has a couple good seasons left in it, I think.

Yeah but it's not like Fred Jackson didn't accumulate touches in other leagues he played in... Plus, he's old... So the fewer touches don't matter as much since his body is breaking down anyways...

He only played 3 seasons outside of Buffalo and didn't even get full time carries with the Bills until 2009. So yes, the lack of touches is relevant. Sure his age says 33 but that doesn't mean his body is breaking down. T.O is a perfect example of that.

I'm not saying he is playing like he's 23 but every year people count Freddy out for being "old" and every year he proves them wrong. Hence the extension.

Definitely deserves it but gotta wonder about CJ with both Jackson and Brown locked up for 2015.
