With Tyron Smithís deal, itís nearly impossible to do Dez Bryantís extension now. Little progress anyway. He may benefit from playing it out

The local guys, like Broaddus and Fisher, are both claiming the exact opposite. They say that the Tyron deal was done with the Dez deal in mind, and Stephen Jones even said they are working to get the deal for Dez done

And Dez will get his deal. It wouldn't shock me if his deal is finalized before the season starts. Rapapport is just a guy who has an illustrious history of talking out of his backside.

The best part about this deal is even in 10 yrs he should still be effective at 33 yrs old. Tyron has a chance to go down as one of the Cowboys greats if he keeps growing as a player and stays healthy. Great deal overall. Now I'm wondering what Dez gets Anxious

Sturm said yesterday on the radio that he has heard rumblings Dez is looking for Larry Fitzgerald type money. That negotiations just depend on which side blinks first Dez or Stephen to how much he eventually gets from the Cowboys. He does think that Dez gets signed before the end of TC.

Dez should be paid like a top 3 WR. If he hit the FA market he'd likely receive (due to increase in cap every year and demand on Free Agency) the highest Contract ever awarded to a Non-QB.

NFL source: Tyron Smith #cowboys cap number ONLY up $1 million for 2014. THATS part of why room for @DezBryant too

Epic.

Are we giving Dez 85 or his 100 million in the first year? I love that Mike Fisher acts like problem solved, because we have enough room for 1 year of Dez.

IIRC Fitz is on $15M/year

Thats a little rich for me. I was hoping Dez would be in the $12-13M range.

Sturm threw out the figure 7 for $100 million yesterday wouldn't surprise him, but if the Cowboys could get him for about 7 for 90 million it would be a win for the Cowboys. Contracts nowadays are a crap shoot as its like their playing with monopoly money sometimes. Just don't see Dez talking a hometown discount as he previously stated. IMHO

So @DezBryant deal 'virtually impossible'? What if #Cowboys simply did THIS, right @KDP10for10 ?

Rappaport is good at one thing: rewording Schefter's tweets in under 60 seconds.

There was a video on Bleacher Report that said the NFLPA and agents across the league are upset with the Cowboys and how they are doing buisness. Basically they cut the agent out and went straight to Tyron. I don't see a problem with it, but the PA and agents feel the player is getting taken advantage of.
