Quote:
Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis and two top lieutenants met recently with several San Antonio officials to discuss the potential of moving his NFL team from the Bay Area to the Alamo City, sources familiar with the matter have confirmed.

On July 18, Davis met with the officials, including Henry Cisneros, then-Mayor Julián Castro, City Manager Sheryl Sculley, Mario Hernandez of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, and both Richard Perez and David McGee, the president and chairman of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, respectively.

I'd be all for San Antonio getting an NFL team. Not sure if I'd want the Raiders to move there, but honestly as long as they keep the name I don't care where they play Laughing

Would suck for local Raiders fans if their hometown team leaves the state.

A 3rd team in Texas? Is the market in SA really that much better than Oakland? I honestly have no idea.

I loathe this. No city should lose its team, let alone a fan base like Oakland. Ughhhh

I think the stadium is more the issue.

I'm surprised they're talking about San Antonio before LA gets done.

I definitely want them to move somewhere but Jerry Jones would never sign off on a team in San Antonio.

The Raiders need to go to LA. I suppose Portland wouldn't be too bad.

I think that the Raiders ultimately will get a new stadium in the bay area or relocate to Los Angeles when it is all said and done.

I think San Antonio is being used in all of this. One of three things will happen here. 01) This is a push for a new staduim in the bay area, not sure if it will happen. 02) Los Angeles 03) San Antonio and Portland could be last resort effort on Davis is part.

IMO, i would rather have the team stay in California. Personally in Los Angeles. Than the NFL and the rest of the country can stop playing the guessing game on who will relocate to Los Angeles.

If the NFL lets San Antonio have a team before Los Angeles, I'm done.

But really, Jerry will never let this happen, and it sounds like the Spurs don't seem too keen on this. And the Alamodome is going to need replacement in a couple years, anyways.
