I'm definitely ok with Spielman being very underrated on these boards.

I guess when you have nothing real to brag about, you have to reach for silly things like that.

Let me know when Spielman's "genius" leads then to something other than a top 10 pick. SOOPER UNDERRATED!!!!!

As for the topic....overpaid, but that seems to be the trend lately.

Its not an outstanding contract for the Vikings, but its acceptable.
KR stats will improve as Ponder is not under center.
Its part of contract negotiations, KR camp argued that KR stats were underestimated due to Ponders ineffectiveness. Vikings likely agree with this as they spent the #32 pick to replace Ponder down the line.

Seems a lot are skeptical, I expected this and I am a bit too. Rudolph has all the potential though. I think this will be the year he breaks out with Norv and Teddy.

I wanted to wait and see until after the season, especially because I'm really high on AC Leonard, but I like the Irish Reindeer, too. Hope it works out. I have a lot of faith in Spielman.

He's had 5 1st round picks above the top 10 in the past 3 years and a total of 7 1st round picks. He's incredibly savy.

Owned.

Can we not break the rules by talking about other fans? Thanks.

But to respond, I have posted multiple times in the Vikings forums. Just not that much.

Now that the thread is derailed even more, let's listen to your sig:

Sure would be something if any of those players would be thought of as anywhere near the best at their respective positions...

For a guy who's orchestrated such terrible rosters (at key spots) throughout his Vikings tenure, Spielman sure gets a ton of undue support amongst most Vikings fans.

posters citing that Rudolph is worthy because he's a Pro Bowl MVP, or that the Vikings are special because they have two Pro Bowl MVP's on their roster, certainly qualifies as nonsense to me.

Harrison Smith
Matt Kalil
Cordarelle Patterson
Xavier Rhodes

Of course they aren't "near" the best at their respective positions because they are in their 2nd and 3rd years (and 2 are rookies who haven't played a down) and nobody wants to rank people that early for some reason. But most people agree that they are climbing the ranks.

The only big question mark for a player that has actually played any downs is Floyd. But again, he is only going into his second year

Good. Attack the content of the post. Don't talk about the poster. Thanks.
