Well hopefully to get something going...

Which Steelers record would you like to be surpass this year?
It can be either a team or a single player statistical record. Hopefully something that is somewhat indicative of a good season for the Steelers but not too obvious. Nothing like most wins in a season or SB victories. And hopefully something that might be realistic...

So, I will go with most TDs scored by a Steelers' Player (16 by Willie Parker)- Hopefully, RB Le'Veon Bell will surpass it this year.

Total team sacks. If we are doing that it is likely because we are ahead and teams are being forced to pass to catch up.

turnovers caused by defense. I doubt they will come close, but if they gewt the turnovers, then the unit should be near the best in the league and that spells playoffs and perhaps champs. This is hard to imagine after last year but that is what I am hoping

Bell will still likely be the feature back. Blount will still get a good bit of carries but its more likely he gets about 90-120 carries while Bell gets 250-300. Obviously injuries could factor in, but if healthy, thats how I see it.

Also, we likely wont run enough for that to happen.

And our line would have to be dramatically improved in terms of run blocking.

So it is pretty far fetched.

I was tempted by Mel Blount's record but kinda thought that it wasn't realistic. Same for Harrison's sack record...

yeah, because Harrison won't be singed until mid season. Blounts record wasn't broken by woodson, therefore nobody will break it.

i'd like to see the Steelers set the 'consecutive wins' record at 17

otherwise, I think our best bets for success will be TD passes from Ben and turnovers generated by the defense. I think Ben stands about 10x the chance of breaking his TD record than the defense stands of generating the turnovers

If the defense is even respectable that is quite a leap from last year and I can't see how taylor should be the starter at cb. Really can't get much worse regarding the turnovers on D, and I can't see them even getting close to a record for turnovers
