Come on guys.... it has been dead around here. We are days from camp!

It's almost August which means 4-5 weeks from the season!

this is no time to fall asleep!

How many of you are going to camp?

Who are you most excited to see in camp, in preseason games?

What long shots do you hope make the final 53?

Come on boys.... lets get things poppin in here!!!!

Do I have to post a random hottie??? Wink

Won't make it back to PA this year (spent my time with my kid recently in Alaska - he lives there) so unfortunately I wont make it to St. Vincent.

Next year should be my last season that I am in the military and plan on moving back to SW PA after retirement and hope to go up most years once I am back.

Things I'm excited for:

1) I want to watch the WR battle pan out.

I liked Justin Brown last year watching through preseason. Im excited to see what he can do. But between DHB, Moye, and Brown, i think it will be interesting to watch the battle for the 5th spot (assuming Bryant doesnt fall on his face).

2) Who makes the Squad ad LB?

I know we are weak collectively at OLB, but i think they feel we have enough interesting prospects at LB to fill any injury void in sub packages - which we lived in last year.

Who can play ST, and who has position flexibility? Spence have any impact, or is he one of the first out the door?

3) Speed.

Just flat out excited to see what a Steelers team with speed looks like.

Its going to be an interesting season, and I am looking forward to it.

I'm maybe the most excited I've been for the season to start. I really think we're going to have a great season. I'm usually sort of pessimistic but not this year.

Hopeful longshot to make the roster would be James Harrison, and I don't care if that is in mid season either. I have a bad feeling Adams will be going from the doghouse to released a well, but lets see if Munchak can stop that. Idea

I wanted to go this year, went last year, but I don't think we'll get to training camp, it's going to be a busy month for me. We're going to the beach near the end of August as well. BUT I am going to the 1st game of the season so it's all good Very Happy

“He understands concepts very well,” linebackers coach Keith Butler said of the Steelers’ first-round draft pick. “He reminds me a lot of Larry Foote in terms of football intelligence, and he’s a very sharp guy.”

More fluff but it's good to hear Shazier does possess the ability to grasp the concepts quickly. He's obviously more athletic than Foote so if the football intelligence part holds up we may have something. He is your day one starter. There are a couple of other bits on other positions/players...

Uhh, what? I think if he's Rainey 2.0 we've got a bust on our hands.

To be fair, one of the major catalysts to Rainey being a bust was that he couldn't stay out of trouble.

Archer is nothing like Rainey as a player.

Anyone who says they either didnt watch one of them player, or maybe didnt watch either.

Archer may bust, but the Rainey 2.0 stuff is silly.
