Babin is just 2 seasons removed from a 18-sack campaign and recorded 7.5 sacks in 2013 for the Jaguars. He has experience in the 3-4 from earlier in his career with the Texans.

Good situational pass rusher. Probably means Barnes isn't ready yet, though.

2-year deal.

Likely isn't good news for Antwan Barnes, even though he passed his conditioning test today. The two of them have the same role in this defense. Rush the passer and don't do anything else.

25.5 sacks in the past two years isn't a camp body. He's definitely making that team.

14.5 sacks in the last 2 years...

At 34, he'll make the team as a situational pass rusher but he's closer to being a training camp body than a starter.

Interesting. Very situational player but I figure Rex has a plan for him.

Yeah, he's pretty much a worse version of Antwan Barnes

If Jacksonville didnt feel so good about their LEOs he would be on our team so i think he is more than just a camp body

Good depth signing. I'm pretty sure he'll make the team assuming his salary is low. He can rush the passer behind that monstrous defensive line.

My numbers were off. Skipped right over 2012. Either way, he's not someone you sign as a camp body. Jets don't bring him in unless they want him on the 53. A camp body is someone that has little chance to make the final roster and is just there to fill space so to speak. That's not Babin.

Well two years prior were both double digit and 15 over the last two is far from a camp body so you are still correct.

The guy can still rush the passer adequately and you can never have enough of them. He's far from a lock to make the team but I wouldn't call him a camp body either.

He will be in on 3rd and long when they need a speed rush.

If they ask him to play run defense, he will get abused.

We won't. That's for Coples and Pace at OLB. Possibly the rookies (Reilly and Enemkpali) too.
