Rookies reported to camp yesterday and veterans report on Thursday. The biggest news so far has to be...

Quote:
Nicks has been cleared to play. RT @teachcoach66: @RCummingsTBO including Carl Nicks? Or will he be on PUP list to start season?

Didn't expect that at all. If he can even be 50% effective that's huge for the offense.

That's huge. Hopefully big man can hold up for the year.

If nicks can start week 1 i would be jumping off the walls. That would be a huge load off of the other OL

Collins - Nicks - EDS is a pretty stout left side on paper.

Good to hear nicks is cleared but despite MRSA the turf toe has nagged and cut short several careers. He said he would never feel 100% at the level was at. I don't expect him to see much action and be participating on a limited basis to keep him for the reg season.

Quote:
RG Alex Boone will not report to 49ers training camp, as expected.

Boone isn't going to cave like Vernon Davis. As the 38th-highest paid guard in the league, he has a far better case for raise and appears set to dig in for a long holdout.

I'd be on the phone if I was Licht.

Getting cautiously optimistic/pumped about being able to talk Bucs football again. My lord it's boring around here after the draft.

It's the little break we have where there isn't anything to talk about. After the season we can talk FA and draft, after the draft we talk about previews, then that gets old and we have the June-July wait of TC.

I can't wait. Getting preseason pass next week

Yeah I'm getting pumped. I'm just ticked NCAA football was a no go this ear. Occupies my football fix from early July until preseason.
