Now it's just a question if he can stay healthy at this point.

The Bucs are really weak at guard so getting Nicks is a huge plus for them and a boom to Martin's fantasy value.

Hopefully he's alright.

At this point, I would welcome Nicks at even 80% into the starting lineup, no questions asked.

I can't imagine the frustration he's feeling. He missed a pretty decent sized chunk of his prime and it wasn't really related to football, a stupid injury off the field, or legal issues.

Pretty sad, really.

At least he got his money. If this had happened when he was on his rookie contract... he'd probably be making vet minimum right now.

Wish he would have stayed with the Saints. Could have been one of the best guards ever.

I'm curious as to how him staying would have stopped his foot injury? The MRSA? Ok, but the foot injury wasn't because he wasn't a saint

But it was because he signed with the Bucs...

I'm cautiously optimistic. His return is huge for us.

He'll never be 100% again. It's how he can manage and deal with the pain. Honestly even an 80% Nicks is one of the better guards in the league. Here's to hoping he can get a full 16 games this year

He was... Even though he's cleared to play, it doesn't mean he's completely healthy.

I'm a big Nicks fan (even though he went to the hated Bucs) and am rooting for him. It is a big question whether or not he will ever be the same even if he does stay healthy.

If he can stay healthy and is the old Nicks, the Bucs are well on their way to being the most improved team this season.
