11 Days until the first training camp practice...

The most famous Vikings to wear #11 are Joe Kapp, Wade Wilson, and Daunte Culpepper

The Vikings have won 11 games in a season 5 times, the last being in the season of 41-Donut (2000)

The Vikings are 11-11 all-time vs the Dallas Cowboys in the regular season

25 days until the first preseason game...

#25 has not been kind to the Vikings as the most famous Vikings to wear #25 is Nate Allen. The last Viking to wear that number was the infamous Tyrell Johnson

Only 9 times in team history has a Vikings' QB passed for 25 or more TDs, with the last being Brett Favre in 2009

Only 6 Vikings had more than 25 INTs while wearing a Vikings uniform. The last was Carl Lee, whose career ended in 1993

55 days until Game 1 vs. the Rams...

The most famous Vikings to wear #55 are Scott Studwell and Jack Del Rio. Anthony Barr now hopes to join those 2.

The Vikings have lost to the Packers 55 times, more than against any other team

The Vikings selected C Dennis Swilley with the 55th pick in the 1977 Draft. Swilley replaced Viking great Mick Tingelhoff and was the 2nd in the line of probably the best position ever represented in the Vikings organization with Mick Tingelhoff (240 games), Dennis Swilley (139 games), Kirk Lowdermilk (114 games in Min), Jeff Christy (101 games in Min), Matt Birk (146 games in Min), and now John Sullivan (93 games and counting)

Wow, hadn't realized Sully has started 93 games already. A healthy year puts him at 109. That's impressive.

9 Days until the first training camp practice...

The most famous Vikings to wear #9 are Tommy Kramer and Jim McMahon. The most recent to wear the number was Brooks Bollinger in 2007.

Alan Page went to the Pro Bowl 9 times in his illustrious career, 2nd most behind 11-timer Randall McDaniel

The Vikings are 9-9 all-time vs the Washington Redskins in the regular season...and their opponent in Week 9 this season

23 days until the first preseason game...

#23, while a popular number in the NBA, isn't as good for the Vikings. The most notable players to wear it are Ted Brown, Michael Bennett, and Cedric Griffin. Joe Banyard currently wears the number.

Viking Legend Carl Eller had 23 career fumble recoveries (good for 2nd all-time amongst defensive players on the team)

Vikings' DT Shariff Floyd was taken with pick #23 last year

53 days until Game 1 vs. the Rams...

The last Viking to wear #53 was LB Kivuusama Mays in 1999 (I actually remember him)...it was retired 2 years later for the most famous Viking to wear it, C Mick Tingelhoff

Speaking of Ted Brown again, he had 53 total TDs in his Vikings career (40 rushing and 13 receiving), good for 7th place in Vikings history

The NFL recordholder Paul Krause had 53 Ints (out of his total of 81) in a Vikings' uniform

Well yes, Hi Mick!! I was just stating that it doesn't seem that Sully has been there that long (roughly 6 seasons). His streak pales in comparison with Mick, hopefully he becomes 2nd all time on that list Laughing

4 Days until the first training camp practice...

The most famous Vikings to wear #4 are Brett Favre and Archie Manning. No one currently wears the number.

The Vikings have drafted 2 players in their history at #4 overall, HOFer Chris Doleman (1985), and current starting LT Matt Kalil (2012)

The Vikings have only lost to their Week 7 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, 4 times with 3 of those losses coming in Rich/Ralph Wilson Stadium. Their last visit to Buffalo was in Brad Childress' 1st season, 2006, which was a 17-12 loss in Week 4

18 days until the first preseason game...

#18 hasn't been a frequently worn number in Vikings' history, as the most prominent to wear the number are Koren Robinson and Sidney Rice. Punter Jeff Locke currently wears the number.

Current star RB Adrian Peterson holds the franchise record for rushing TDs in a season with 18 in 2009.

The Vikings have beaten Week 3 opponent New Orleans 18 times in 27 overall games, but they have lost 3 in a row to the Saints, including the NFC Championship Game in 2010. Their last victory over the Saints was in the 2008 regular season, 30-27 at the Superdome on a last-second kick by Ryan Longwell

48 days until Game 1 vs. the Rams...

Like the previous number, #48 is rarely worn, as probably the most "famous" (and that's stretching it) to wear the number is Najee Mustafaa...a player most people might remember as Reggie Rutland, a safety who played under Burnsie in the late 80s-early 90s. Zach Line currently wears the number.

The Vikings have beaten the rival Packers 48 times in the regular season. Unfortunately however, they also are the only division rival that they have a losing record against, having lost to them 55 times.

The Vikings' last 48 training camps have been spent in Mankato, MN

Training Camp preview

http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/videos/Training-Camp-Preview-Turner-Talks-Offense/ca55f706-5afe-44cd-8db2-93cb8e824251

A few interesting notes:
-Adam Thielen has really stood out to Norv.
-No mention of Rhett Ellison with the TEs.
