Four interceptions? Even playing in that weak sister division, that's more than all Packers safeties combined in 2013.

on a 1 year low risk deal i would 100% bring him in for camp/preseason

sure hes got some major physical limitations, but just for the sake of him competing with a guy like Banjo at a position that needed an overhaul is value enough to take a shot if hes willing to sign that kind of deal

hell, he doesnt even need to make the final roster in order to benefit the packers... thats how pathetic our safety play was last year

See that pizza, he's more done than that pizza.

Been a big Jim Leohnard fan since he was at Wisconsin and thought TT should have signed him last off season. The question is why sign him now.
Maybe as the punt returner.
Maybe will allow Hyde to play more than Charles Woodson role and give Green bay some depth if there is an injury. Seems Hyde is destined for some form of hybrid role anyway.
Maybe TT and MM aren't really enamored with the other free safeties behind Burnett.
Maybe TT learned his lesson that he needs some veteran support at safety after last year's debacle.

UFA S Jim Leonhard threw cold water on @Packers talk. Agent spoke w/team early in offseason like every year he's been UFA. Nothing imminent

I wouldn't be in favor of this, even though it looks like little ado about nothing. I see his value coming at positions already manned by Micah Hyde and Jarrett Bush, and I don't think he would be an upgrade over either. Like I said in TAPT, maybe a few years ago we should have signed him. Now we have Banjo, Clinton-Dix, Hyde, and Richardson, all of whom are young, cheap, and athletic.

LOL. You know, I was having a really crappy day until I saw this. Thank you, seriously.

Anyway, I do think he's worth bringing to TC at least. AG20 might be right however. At worst, he could be a good mentor to our young players.

Just for fun I checked a few depth charts at lunch today, and I did a few and everyone was at 90. It's not a big deal or anything but I find it odd that Thompson of all people wouldn't have that full yet.

What is the limit? I'd guess we take a final look at Jermichael as real camp approaches.

For rosters? 90, but GB is at 89. I know I'm making something out of nothing but it's just strange to me.

Laughing

Are you talking Finley, Pickett or Jolly? Oh, you mean Leonard. Even a burnt Leonard is better than the crap GB's been running out there the past few years @ S.

Whether I agree or not (I half ways do but not entirely) that has nothing to do with the merits of signing him right now.

Have any of the draftees not signed yet?

Why not? We're basically rolling the dice in the same way with Peppers, no?
