Story doesn't make much sense at all. So the twins just started hitting this guy who just stood and took it? And 4 bouncers + the twins beat him up and threw him out???

Very fishy IMO.

HOWEVER, the Pounceys are still both idiots...

Because they went to a club they've been to before? The hat thing was obviously dumb but one has nothing to do with the other.

Mo wearing the Free Hernandez was idiotic.

He apologised and acknowledged the idiocy (unlike his brother).

He was 23 at the time? I believe he can be forgiven for that.

I also do not believe that he would have done it in the first place if he'd known what we know now about Hernandez. At the time, Hernandez was known to be a bit of a thug but for the Pouncey's who had been friends with him for a long time, I can understand why they were still supportive at the time.

There's an article on Behind the Steel Curtain with more info pertaining to this (I didn't post a link because there are profanities throughout the article). There is a female plaintiff claiming she was punched. She states that the police told her they aren't going to do anything about it (not sure why they would say that). Then she continues by saying "these atheletes" get "on drugs" and act like jerks and the club protects them because of the money they bring in.
The "drug" reference, while possibly made up, is concerning. It's my guess that both parties have some blame. The "victims" were prolly drunk and acting stupid and the Pouncey Brothers acted in a manner they shouldn't have. We can say that we've all been in that situation and the players are young and have a right to go out and socialize as they please. And that's fine. Just don't be suprised or complain when this stuff happens. There is a risk involved here. When things pop off and you become involved, you can easily be looking at a suspension. You are an employee of a major company. If you tarnish that company's image expect to pay a price. Fair or not.
*FWIW: Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Pounceys weren't involved at all so who knows what to believe.

Except for judgment patterns. You know the best way to predict future behavior? Past

Sorry but wearing a dumb hat is not a pattern of behavior in any way. And if it is bad judgement, fine but zero relevance to what looks like a BS case.

He just explained why its relevant....judgment. Obviously the incidents themselves are completely different and unrelated, but lack of judgment is always something to look at. Also, Mike was indicated in alot of the junk that went on with the Dolphins last year, and both have shown tempers.

If you dont agree, thats fine, but doesnt mean its not relevant at all.

And for the record...I wont believe the Pouncey's did anything wrong IN THIS CASE unless there is definitive proof against them...but that doesnt change the fact that both have shown a) lack of common sense and b) anger issues in the past.

What I don't like is that there has been controversy before about this same type of stuff before.

How many times does Maurkice have to have close calls before he gives it up?

What I dont get is....these are two extremely wealthy football players....why not just have a private "birthday bash" with guests and maybe some random ladies?

I mean, they are young so I am not faulting them for going out for a good time, but its amazing how often athletes put themselves in bad situations.
