Too many poor decisions by Ponder. No interest in him ever starting for Minnesota again.

the first video of ponder throwing that ball was not his fault, the left tackle was pushed back into him which pressured him into underthrowing the ball. At worst it was 50% ponder's fault, but the line did not help him.

The second one was one of his bad plays, i will admit.

The third one was rudolphs fault. He put up hardly any effort to catch that ball that was thrown slightly behind him.

2/3 of those were not ponder's fault.

But of course you would like to blame him for all 3 of those.

Also feel I should try to clear this up for you, but in the first gif Ponder left a clean pocket, and threw off of his back foot. That's 100% on him (don't blame the LT for that please, because that block was fine).

The 2nd play was properly executed by 10 Minnesota players. Guess which one screwed up Laughing

Ponder had the motioning player wide open down the seam before the pressure got there. He shoulda been a football player and made the throw while getting hit, or even before he would get hit, instead he rolled away from the scary defense and couldn't even throw an accurate pass from 10 yards away. And don't try to blame Rudolph for that. It looks like he wasn't even assigned a route, instead he just recognized that Ponder screwed up the play and released to the flats where he got open only to get a throw behind his body.

so yeah, pleeeeeeeeease start Ponder this year. I actually think you guys could do really well with Bridgewater at QB making this division 4 teams strong again.

If you aspire to 3-5 win seasons, then by all means, Ponder is your guy.

Watch it again, and look especially at the end zone cam..."slightly behind him" might be the understatement of the century.

Even the announcer (Baldinger?) made mention of how terribly thrown that ball was.

As to your point re/Christian Ponder...he is broken! I agree with you, on paper, Ponder is more talented than Cassel. However, Cassel plays with a more confident attitude than Ponder. Ponders greatest weakness is that he's so afraid of making mistakes...that he winds up falling apart when he does make one.
Christian Ponder seems like a good guy...but, until he finds that self-confidence that allows him to forget mistakes and take a risk in the passing game, he will never be an NFL starting qb again! And, final point, confidence cannot be coached.

we don't talk about banned members, and so i'll ask you guys to just leave this as it is.

but VikingChop was banned this morning by webbt as he was an existing member who started a second account, and false cyber identity, solely to troll Viking fans.

again, let's not discuss him and just move on, thank you.

Is there anybody here not sipping the purple koolaid for just a sec?

Ponder possesses great accuracy and is the best athlete of all our QB's. He can run the ball and pass. He's a more complete player that just needed time to develop. If there was an open competition in training camp, he would win the starting job. But our coaching staff is playing favorites. Incompetence at it's finest. It's juts whoever zimmer likes, not what's best for the team. Zimmer was all in on Josh Gordon and look how that turned out. Guy jst picks who he likes not best for th team.

I think your the one sipping the purple drink, and it's not koolaid.
