Rules for keepers, as I mention in the original post, if you're keeping a player for the first time, the cost is the pick you spent on him last year. If you kept him last year, the price increases to what is listed below.

Bumping this up to hopefully clarify the questions in the last few posts.

I was thinking about potentially breaking it down in to tiers, something like if you spent x pick to keep the player the year before, the cost is now x:
10 round pick or later - New cost: 8th round pick
7th-9th round pick - New cost: 6th round pick
5th-6th round pick - New cost: 4th round pick
4th round pick - New cost: 3rd round pick
3rd round pick - New cost: 2nd round pick or highest pick left
1st or 2nd round pick - New cost: 1st round pick or highest pick left
Note: This only goes for a player you are keeping for a second year onwards. If it's your first year using that player as a keeper, you lose the pick that you used on them last year.

Just to bump up a few rules things from last year's pre-draft. The structure for keepers posted above will remain the same. Also like last year, the first three rounds of the draft will be straight and after that will move to a snake draft. A way to give the bad teams a boost early on.

And, also like last year (though I'm not sure anyone took advantage of it), you are able to trade the rights to players. If you trade for a player, keep in mind you will still have to use the pick to keep him, but it's always an option.

Count me in again fellas! This has been great. Should be interesting not getting a draft pick until the 4th round lol

Side note, any of you guys in a dynasty league/starting one up? I'm looking to find a committed dynasty league to join and all my friends suck Laughing

Figured I'd bump this back up and see what people want for a draft date. My preference would be sometime after the third week of the preseason, that way the odds of an important injury are pretty low and we will all have had a good look at the rosters and rookies.

I'd like to do it on either a Wednesday or Sunday night if that works. Something like Wednesday, August 30 or Sunday, September 3 being towards the top of my list.
