Wow, that's actually a very accurate/fair value. I thought we'd get him for a little cheaper Laughing

I absolutely love Doug. He's a blue collar work for his dinner type player. Great slot recieve and He is a man of his word. He said no holdout and he came to OTAs without a contract in place. (Never signed his tender) Good for him that he finally got paid decent money.

Huge step for a guy that was a UDFA. Amazing deal for the Seahawks. I was thinking he'd demand close to Wes Welker type money (6mil a year).

Just curiously, why do you think that Doug would demand a lot of money? He's probably the most professional player on the team.

Ya think maybe, unlike most, he actually realizes $13M IS a lot of money?

I think it was a 2 year 11M extension making the total contract to be 3 years 13M. Is that correct???

Pretty much it is 2 years added on to the 1 year he signed his tender for.

Being a professional is negotiating your worth (what you strangely call "asking for a lot of money").
