Best Clasico in years. Messi ruthless.

The best one since the 4-3 beauty in 2014, for sure.

Probably one of the best Clasico's I've seen in the last ten years. I would gladly write a paragraph gushing about the game but what's the point. A football game that had it all. Beautiful moments, ugly moments. If you haven't seen it, don't watch 10 minute highlights. Take two hours when you get the chance and watch the whole game. It's more than worth it.
I've got it recorded and planning exactly that some time this week.

I just read an article on how Athletic Bilbao are run, I had no idea that's how their team is set up. Interesting. It's an Admirable way to run the club but you can't win big that way in today's game.

In terms of how they use players from the Basque Country only? It's crazy how much success they've managed to have drawing from a population of just 3 million.

It shows how far you can go if you have a proper focus on youth development.

I'd wait until the case is decided before jumping to conclusions.

Where are these guys finding their tax advisors Laughing

Decent article (I know, I'm surprised too...) from the Daily Mail on the Ronaldo situation.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4610498/Cristiano-Ronaldo-tax-case-explained.html

If those are the facts of it, I'm stunned they've went down the evasion/ fraud route.

There is likely to be more to it, but what's described in that article is not evasion or fraud. At worst it's a structure and treatment that the Spanish Tax Authorities disagree with. That would warrant an assessment for the tax owed and a civil penalty, but, for me, not criminal proceedings and a fraud trial.

For those charges to stick, they'd need to prove that Ronaldo deliberately concealed the payments and knew that they should have been declared to the Spanish Tax Authorities. If he's as diligent with his taxes as is claimed and he's using a half way decent advisor, he should have quite a few defences to the charges.

Honestly, I'm so confused and baffled. Like Di Maria actually admitted to the fault...and Mourinho? Modric while he was in Croatia?? Madness.
