doubt it. contract is super high and Texans will probably ask for a first. Honestly if I was Cleveland I would be running up to them with two 1st next year. |

I wouldn't give anymore than a 3rd. His age and contract will not warrant a 1st round pick. He only has another 2-3 years left in him. |

i highly doubt this happens. only has a year or two left, way too pricey, and Texans want too much. so unless for some reason he's cut (which wont happen) I don't see this happening at all _________________

stranger things have happened:
Favre never leaving Green Bay
Manning leaving Indy
Ware leaving Dallas
Smitty leaving Carolina _________________ I wish I could get paid to talk football, its all I do! |

It's not worth mortgaging a draft pick and floating our cap under his current contract.
If he got released, then came to us in a deal similar to what Steve Smith got in Baltimore, I wouldn't be upset though. _________________

Yeah, that contract is an absolute albatross. $15m-16m-14m in the next 3 years before his deal expires. We actually can't trade for him, lest we be several million dollars over the cap.
The Texans aren't exactly hurting for cap room, either. They're got roughly $12m in cap space and that includes the $10.5m left behind by Matt Schaub. There's really no cap reason to cut him now. Next year, they'd save $8m by cutting him and that could give them more flexibility to spend in free agency, but I just don't see it happening this year. _________________

I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat unless it wasn't for that killer contract _________________

the guy caught 100+ and 1500 yards last season, his last two years past 30 have been some of his best years. this would be the asking price for a guy with those numbers. but nobody will want the contract. |
