Thought it would be a good idea to make another thread for the small & potential roster moves, rumors, and interesting tweets. Also talk about other team moves.

Browns CB Joe Haden agreed to 5-year extension with CLEV, as @ProFootballTalk reported. It's a $68M deal, including $45M guaranteed.

Dear Lord.

I have interest in the Jets bringing in Miles Austin to compete. Austin has hamstring issues but when healthy is a very good WR.

Some other players I would have interest in are:

OLB Anthony Spencer (Recovering from knee surgery)
OG Travelle Wharton

Yeah, unless they all of the sudden decide to pony up that much money, there's no way he stays a Patriot.

I don't think revis will ever get a contract like that again. He'll be 30 when his contract end.

Compete for what? We just brought in a ton of young guys to compete for roster spots at the receiver position. It'd be foolish to bring an old washed up receiver who could take one of those spots away. Totally would be against that move. (especially because I don't think he'd bring anything more to the team than these rookies would be capable of doing.)

No chance the Pats pony up that Sherman or Haden money for him (Revis will probably want more). This is like Deion when he took that 1 year deal to the 49ers and then left for the huge money in Dallas.

Eh.

We didnt think that Revis would go to the Pats to begin with.

I thought it was between the Jets, Pats and Raiders.

My guess is we wait to see how training camp goes. If no wr is stepping up we will sign someone. I think that'll be the case with most positions.

honestly, part of me thinks the Jets will bring back Santonio on a "prove it" type deal. id really hate to see this happen but I have to assume the lack of FA love must have humbled him and he already knows our offense.

a healthy santonio paired with Decker/Kerley may be enough. Remember how clutch Santonio was for us in 2011. granted this is 2 seasons removed form his last productive season, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Rex want to give him another shot.

Looks like Revis will be continuing his tour of the US next year ... doubt the Patriots keep him at that kinda money ... also makes what he's been asking for money wise seem sane.

If Dallas has the $$ next off season I can see them trying to make a splash with Revis
