Didn't see this article anywhere else.

While the question remains at this point IF J-Mike will play again. I think the further we get into the offseason the options start to narrow down to him being forced into retirement or re-signing with the Packers. He knows our offense, and that would give him the best chance at another short term prove-it deal. Honestly I don't see him garnering anything other than that sort of contract this offseason.

My personal belief- he's probably seen his last game already. I hope the guy the best though and it would definitely be a lift to this offense if he could come back sometime for us in the future.

What say you? Speculate.

Same as it's been since the diagnosis. If he plays, he signs cheap somewhere, hopefully with us.

I really doubt Finley ever plays for the Packers again. Some team might be willing to risk it, but I like the fact that the Packers would prefer to play it safe in this sort of situation.

He would have to be willing to sign for a HECK of alot less than his last 2 year 15 mil deal, maybe 1 year 3 mil, but even then, I'd rather just see them play it safe with the injury all together.

My personal belief is that he is done playing football. I have heard a few times that it was a C3-C4 and we have yet to clear one of those. Plus you add in his insurance $$ and the fact it is this late in the process. I think he is done.

While I'm not optimistic about him playing, I don't think you can rule it out. With Collins ( and maybe Murphy, I don't remember) the Packers wised him well on his way and said it was the choice for his family, ect. With Finley, MM has repeatedly expressed interest in Finley coming back. I think they are monitoring his medicals and could decide to if he's cleared.

There's no doubting this guy's drive and work ethic any more, I doubt anyone has been training as hard as Finley this off-season. We heard at the end of March that scans were progressing as expected and it would be 2 months until he received his clearance (as long as things continued on the path they were on for that time.) That should put the critical point for him at the end of this month/early June. He would make our TC offense the best it's been on paper, maybe ever.

He was ready to sign with Seattle last I had heard. So if he plays I would think it would be for the seacheats.

Pretty sure they failed him on the medical.

They brought him in over 2 months ago, doubt that medical was going to be for a pass/fail grade it was pretty obvious he was not going to be cleared. Probably just wanted his scans on record for comparison if he gets cleared. They are probably in the same wait and see pattern we are after not addressing that position.

He's done....no doubt. I was at that game and while it was going down i knew it was over. The NFL (and especially the Packers) have become real gun-shy with head/neck injuries.

On a side note, he was in full on Arizona playoff game beast mode that day too Sad

That's what I heard. Honestly I think it'd be Mia, NYG, or GB. If he's coming in late to the offseason program on a one year deal he better already know the offense.

I've been a supporter of his for a couple years and mostly based off his potential and then hugely based off of last years start. But to be honest with all the garbage that comes from his mouth, the fact that Rodgers doesn't look for him allot and his off field baby mama issues I hope we let him walk.

I really don't think we need him, we don' use the TE enough to really make a high end TE a requirement in our offense. A good TE is welcome but enough of Jmike as a Packer let someone else have that headache.

I still like to know where the imaginary "headache" Packers fans talk of came from? J-Mike said some dumb stuff, back in 2008. He's been one of the hardest working guys on the team the last two years, there is no "headache."

Seriously are you saying his agent backtalk to Rodgers was back in 2008? Are you saying his continued push for high end contracts vs poor play isn't a headache. Who cares if he worked hard, lots of guys work hard and aren't "me" first players. It's time to move on from him and let something else develop. We've won plenty without him, he's a luxury we don't need to pay for or deal with.
