Tomlinson was useless after 2007. Turner emerged as a great Rb and was very good until around 2012. Basically, tuner would have given SD four more years of better Rb play and they wouldn't have had to make that desperation trade for Matthews.

I still find it difficult to compare any RB to AD, because we haven't seen any player physically comparable to him, LaDainian included. LaDainian was almost a "soft" player compared to him. LDT also had over 2300 carries by the time he reached 29. Adrian has over 300 less carries (which is almost a full year).

I don't see Adrian becoming fully useless for at minimum 3 years (likely at least a year or 2 beyond that even). If anything, I see him being the same as he has been...good for about 1300 yds on average with the possibility of hitting another 1700-2000 yd season at least 1 more time.

Tomlinson had far more touches a receiver too. That could have contributed to his decline.

Good idea to "play along" that way. What team? Denver and Montee Ball?

Jerry jones wound be all over this deal.

Will they give us a 12 for 1 deal in return? Laughing

Who knows?

It's another one of those situations where there may not be anything there, but there's definitely a "there" there.

If mn could land a 1st and 3rd that is appealing to me. Let's assume Spielman trades up into round 1 in typical fashion.

10 first round picks in four years would be brilliant.

Peterson has stated he'd maybe like to play for a Texas team. Peterson's contract will be expensive. Peterson attracts a different type of attention and analysis.

so i propose the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys both jointly buy his contract and he plays for both teams, back and forth each week.

hey. you said play along.

Maybe this should be added to the bold prediction thread.

2 1sts and couple mid to late picks is what it would take for me to move him.

Dallas gives up next two firsts and a third to get Peterson. Jones in total win now mode and panics that romo can't be focal point of the offense

They wouldn't be able to afford it, although I would totally do it.

A first and a younger starter. Or, a first and use the money to sign a starter.

to keep playing along I'm assuming we would get Murray and the 1st and 3rd?

That would work for me. Murray is a solid Rb, and Spielman would have the ammo to amass three first rd picks in 2015. Talk about speeding up the rebuild process.

That sure would be something...not sure if I could trade AD yet. I'd like to see him play with Brdigewater and as a Viking in the new stadium. Doubt we'd get much for him then if that day comes. Should be a Viking lifer.

Although him playing for either Texas team would be pretty cool, especially the Cowboys.
