is Devin Funchess a tweener TE/WR?

If we let Rudy walk, this guy would be interesting.

He's playing full time WR this year. Guy is worthless as an in-line blocker, but a beastly receiver despite drop issues.

He's got Kelvin Benjamin potential as a receiver.

dang. I was hoping he'd be another Gates/Graham/Ebron. Hopefully he translates to a full time receiving TE in the NFL.

I love his potential. Very intriguing.

and on that note, I still have DeVante Parker as my #1 WR this year.

I'm very happy to have Barr on the team, but almost wish we had waited a year to draft a high profile SLB/edge rusher. The 2015 class is going to be outstanding.

Who's your favorite? Not necessarily the best.

Devonte Fields from TCU.

Though there are about 4-5 guys I like a fair amount, he's far and away my favorite. His freshman production and tape from 2012 are phenomenal.

Outside the well known players in most top 10-15 watch lists, any of you guys have any later round "X" WR prospects you like?

I'm trying to watch/learn more on these seniors:

Devante Davis, UNLV (6'2", 210, 4.52)
Kevin White, WVU (6'3", 211, 4.49)
Darren Waller, GA Tech (6'5", 232, 4.54)
Kenny Cook, Gardner Webb (6'3", 210, 4.60)

And these potential underclassmen declarations who could be available later:

Trey Griffey, Arizona (6'2", 191, 4.53)
Kenny Lawler, Cal (6'2", 185, 4.54)
Quinshad Davis, UNC (6'3", 205, 4.58 )
DaVaris Daniels, Notre Dame (6'2", 210, 4.49)
Von Pearson, Tennessee (6'3", 182, 4.49)
D'Haquille Williams, Auburn (6'2", 216, 4.54)

I would rather pair him with Karl Joseph out of WVU...

Eric Berry clone. Would give us two interchangeable safeties that can play in deeper coverage or in the box with speed, ball skills, physicality. Could do so much with those guys.

So I've actually been able to see a bit of him finally, and oh my stars isn't he awesome!? Definitely see why he's your #1 safety!

As I've said, I love instinctual defenders and when you combine it with aggressiveness, I've got a draft crush. Still need to see more of him before I go that far, but I love the little I have seen.

Can't wait to watch him this year

Here is what I have so far:

1. Braxton Deaver, Duke
2. Maxx Williams, Minnesota
3. Jeff Heuerman, OSU
4. Nick O'Leary, FSU
5. Tyler Kroft, Rutgers
6. Jake McGee, UF
7. Ben Koyack, ND
8. Jesse James, PSU
9. Jay Rome, UGA
10. Pharaoh Brown, Oregon

Maxx almost certainly won't declare as a rSo., but man he would be fun in MN and he great fit for our offense.

That said, Deaver is used more as a H-Back and slot receiver because that's what the offense calls for but at 6'5 and 240+ w/ 4.65 speed I would like to see him in-line getting up the seam more. But he's a solid run blocker at 2nd level and can catch and run.

Heuerman is big and very athletic. He's built like Rudolph but can do a bit more in terms of route running and a bit less in terms of power elements like blocking and "rebounding" w/ big catch radius.

O'Leary would be a great TE2 in the Dallas Clark mold, but isn't cut out to be the primary do-it-all tight end.

Yup. It's bad. No 1st round grades for me going into the season. No solid 2nd round grades either, IMO....

I'm sure someone will emerge, but it's tough to pick out many junior or senior difference makers at TE in terms of pro potential for 2015 right now.

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota has graduated and will be eligible for the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl.

I'm surprisingly high on Kansas State QB Jake Waters.

JUCO transfer from powerhouse Iowa Western C.C. in 2014. Played well as the starter from Day 1.

On the shorter side but strong and very athletic. About 6'1" and I would say 215-220. Very strong arm with a beautiful deep ball. Quick release. Accurate. Poised and confident in the pocket. Scans the field well.

I don't want to be premature, but I have to say this guy looks like a very nice prospect. Mid round or better.

I'm glad we got Bridgewater because Mariotta just doesn't impress me and I'd hate to be in the running for him next year.
