who are the top prospects to watch for this season?

what are your projected top needs for the Vikings in 2015?

Personally I would love to see another elite CB or S added in the first round next year. Who are the top rSo/JR/SR defensive back prospects?

I'm assuming we'll be picking in the mid to late teens next draft based on our record. Will probably need a Greenway replacement. A linebacker in that area would make sense.

A.J. Johnson, MLB, Tennessee.

I will definitely keep an eye out on this guy, he seems like the prototype for Zimmer.

I agree, but the offseason is more dull without QB talk. there are so many positions that have question marks, so it is hard to pin down some of these needs at this point.

This would be the priority needs as of right now:

WR (big vertical threat)
MLB (starter)
RCB (starter)
SS or FS (depends on where Smith ends)

These four standout as unresolved.

Unfortunately, at least currently, the next draft is devoid of big field stretchers.

Dorial Green-Beckham could have been that guy, but...

Benardrick McKinney, Jalen Strong, Leonard Williams, and Ronald Derby are on my shortlist for next year. I think all will eventually be the premiere player at their position and I think those positions are were we are lacking on paper.

I'll also note that depending on what we have in McKinnon, I wouldn't hesitate to try and come away from the 2015 draft with Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon. Those two are miles ahead of anyone in the 2014 class and Adrian will be going on age 31 at the start of the 2015 cycle.

I agree with those 4 MLB is my #1 need for us right now followed by WR.

MLB, CB, S and WR

I really like him. Barring, the Vikings having a horrible season and pick in the top 5 he is my top player. I am very low on Jasper Brinkley and Mauti injury history scares me too much. You need a quality MLB in the 4-3 and believe AJ can be a star.

Leonard Williams DE/DT USC
