Welcome to the 2014 NFL Draft Thread!

Draft Day Guidelines
I know everyone is excited. Draft time is one of the best weekends for NFL fans. There are a couple quick things we need to go over to keep this fun and as organized as possible during a hectic time.

1) This site will be flooded with people. As a suggestion, I would have Seattle's forum and any other specific forum you want to get to bookmarked. The site will revert back to an old form that makes it harder to navigate on the main page do to the overwhelming number of posters on the site.

2) Keep all Day 1 discussion in this thread. If Seattle makes a pick, myself or imani will create a separate thread for the selection. The purpose of this is so that:
    a. We don't have 4 or 5 threads for each pick
    b. We know who will make the thread.

If neither of us are on we will have asked someone to be designated to post the pick. Thanks for the cooperation!

3) Have fun! If you hate a pick we make, cool off before posting. Don't try and navigate around the swearing filter!

I really expect Seattle to make a trade today. More than likely I see them trading back, but if there's a fantastic prospect falling, I'm of the opinion we'll see a trade up

Also, PLEASE avoid posting twitter spoilers. Anyone who wants to have the pick spoiled can keep that to his or herself!

To be honest I'm only interested in trading up for the big 3 OTs. I'd trade a ton this year to go get one. Probably going to have to get in the Top 7 to do it. But if we snag a Jake Matthews or Taylor Lewan we don't have to resign An injury prone Okung. I'd trade this year #1 and 2015 1st and 2016 3rd that might get the job done.

But this is the only position I'd trade up for.

Dream scenario is a trade down to the Mid-2nd and picking up a 3rd round pick.

A Combination of Bitino/Yankey/Moses and Matthews/Benjamin/Robinson/Adams would be nice

Lewan I believe has a slight chance to slide. I'd also like Zach Martin. He can play RT and also guard

With the way the NFL has drafted OT over the last few years it's possible all 4 of those guys are gone. By #12.

I don't disagree, I'm just saying it's possible. If there's a run on OT's early we're screwed. If people like the QB's, CB's, and WR's a lot, there's a chance

This is a really cool picture

That's Derrick Carr

KennyBania wrote:
Carr on NFLN just said he told former commissioner Paul Tagliabue that he will "see him in 11 years".

Kid was brilliant, breaking down film at a young age with David Carr. Carr is underrated. I think he's gonna be a good one.

The wait is killing me......

Dear John and Pete

Trade everything and go get Matthews, Robinson or Lewan.

Love your BFF

I have no idea about a single player in the draft so I'm relying on you guys to inform me about them.

Click on any of the top prospects in the 1st round and it'll take you to a breakdown for them including all their combine numbers
