It is pretty open. I'd say they are going to be a possibility of a surprise pick.

If you look at the positions that the team needs SS, TE and Pass Rush are going to show up as the top three for me. However with the first two there are likely nobody of value available at #20 in the first round and Pass Rush is both depth and a lessor need.

A penetrating defensive linemen could be an option at 20, as could a versatile and athletic linebacker.

TE does not crack you top 5 needs or just not in round 1?

1. SS (Clinton-Dix, Pryor)
2. TE (Ebron)
3. OLB (Barr, Ealy)
4. ILB (Mosley)
5. DE (Hageman)
6. anything else

we don't really have any NEEDS, we are pretty set, its just that we need some depth and some competition all around.

All this talk in the draft forum has me thinking Teddy B will be there when we pick at 20 and I get the feeling we will pass. I will be screaming at the TV if this happens. If the Troy Smith comments are true I'm thinking we would pass on him in the 2nd as well.

Thought there was a chance we would take Geno in the 1st last year and was also hoping we would take Geno in the 2nd. Seemed like our squad just really had no interest in him. Really hoping the same doesn't go for Teddy B. I'm scared we like the bigger armed QB's more like Mett, Thomas, or Savage. Honestly don't know what they could possibly see in McCarron he is so bad.

Don't think we'll really know the truth about how Teddy is perceived by the NFL til draft day. But I'm guessing he has a Geno Smith type fall.

I don't really think it's a "need". I wouldn't mind taking Ebron in the first but TEs are expendable imo (unless you have a stud).

I think Teddy should be the #1 pick. Clowney is actually my #1 player though.

But unless there's a league wide smokescreen going around it really seems like Teddy's not thought of all that highly by the NFL.

Teddy is a great player and seems like a great person. I absolutely think he deserves to go top 3. But at this point I would be more surprised if he went top 3 than I would be if he made it to our pick.

The way Arians likes to run his vertical offense with a TE stretching the seam it is going to be a position that he values highly. Look at a couple of those early picks for his offense in Indy. Dwayne Allen a rounded TE who can both catch and block and Coby Fleener the athletic, stretch the seam, vertical threat at TE that BA likes.

We have acquired our well rounded TE in John Carlson, the question now is whether or not Housler is trusted enough within the organization to hold down the athletic TE spot or whether they want to provide an upgrade at the spot.

The McCarron story is likely a smokescreen. Have to leak some bad info to guys every now and again. Either that or there is a scout that really likes him so he is releasing some info.

I don't see our offensive coaching staff have any interesting in McCarron.

As for the bigger armed QB's thing. Believe it. Arians is a coach who has experience with QB's and believes he can turn a ball of clay into a QB. He sees a guy with a big arm and size and believes he can teach a QB everything else they need.

I'd probably take Hageman, I'd say the team will take Shazier. I don't think we are going to be that limited at 20 though.
