This must be the first year in forever where we aren't playing the bears. Swear we've been playing them every year for some time now... |

Seems like we play them every other year. We would have played them this year if they won their divsion. We will play them next year (In Chicago) if we both finish the same position within our divisions. We will definitely play them in 2016 (Again in Chicago). _________________

Yeah when we had the game by halftime and with the help of R. Brown and Maclin we blew it. But before that I think we played them at least two in a row in SF. _________________

Yea...too bad the Seahawks have the same amout of time for it though. |
I wonder though - what was the NFL trying to accomplish by sandwiching the Eagles/Seahawks game between the big rivalry games for both teams? (Eagles/Cowboys thanksgiving day, Seahawks, home vs Cowboys) (Seahawks/49ers thanksgiving day, Eagles, home vs 49ers)
Was it just the best way they could get things to play out while keeping it fair for both teams? |

They aren't unbeatable, and Chip has proven that he can gameplan around a talented, physical defense (see Cardinals game, who, by the way, beat the Seahawks). Have a little bit of team pride, you shouldn't be scared of anyone, especially since we haven't even drafted yet. |
I think I've become a more realistic fan over the years, so it's hard for me to have blind optimism about any team. Don't mistake it for a lack of pride.

People don't realize how much that can help our offense (addition by subtraction), pulling defenders toward the middle of the field will give guys (like Shady and Sproles) space to break things outside.. |
Without getting too much into the merits of letting Desean go, you're gonna have to replace his production somehow, that's a fact. He was the team's number receiver in receptions (almost two times as many as the next player), targets, yards, 20+ receptions, TDs, first downs, .... the list goes on and on. I'm sure whatever receiver we draft will be a great addition, but there's going to be a learning curve with every receiver. I'm more interested in how Cooper plays without Desean and if Maclin is the same player he was before. Again, trying to be realistic here.

Don't mean to take it out on you, but I fully expect to beat the Seahawks at home and make a statement to the rest of the NFC. |
If Wilson starts that game, I swear on my dog I'll give you $100 if the Eagles win. |

Just because you are able to approach your favorite team with objective lenses (well, as objective as they can be) does not mean you "lack of pride" in any way, shape or form. I'd understand calling out posters if everyone was saying "there is no chance, we can't possibly win" then that's one thing, but simply thinking the Seahawks are the better team and will show it in our matchup does not mean you lack pride. |

My thoughts:
- I doubt we beat the Colts in their house on MNF
- Navarro Bowman will be on PUP and Aldon Smith will receive at least a 4 game ban, which bodes well for us
- I like our chances @ Arizona after our bye week. Hopefully Darryl Washington gets a long ban.
- I don't see us sweeping the Cowboys _________________

-Really? I'm just not high on the Colts, I think they are very beatable, obviously I'm not that confident we beat them but I do think we'll lose to 49ers, and I don't see us dropping 2, thus I have us getting the W in Indy.
-Didn't realize we'd get to avoid Aldon, but then again the 49ers D was still stout when he was missing last year so it's not like they don't know how to play without him. If it was Willis on PUP instead of Bowman I'd like our odds but I think they'll be able to adequately cover for the lack of NaVorro as they have a nice crop of ILBs, although him missing obviously helps us to an extent. I just don't have a lot of confidence in us traveling to the west coast and beating a team like the 49ers, who forced teams to play their style of football in all but a few games last year.
-I think the Cowboys are the worst team in the NFCE, and IMO we'll need to sweep one team in order to make playoffs. Although LIS, my confidence is pretty low on what the results of our NFCE games will be as each team is pretty close in quality.
-We barley to beat AZ at home (and some will argue we did so unfairly), and they are going to be a much improved team as their young core improves, plus their OL looks like it will be pretty good. Traveling to the West is never easy, and we know how hard they took last year's loss ("loss" in their eyes), so I'm thinking they'll play extra pumped. |
