This post will be updated as information comes along...for now lets start with staff sign ups (List your top 3 preferred positions)

Before we get into the game, there’s some things we need to get out of the way. Yes, there are rules. And yes, you must follow them. As per the usual, all forum rules much be followed. FFMD also has it’s own rules to follow as well. Make sure to brush up on both of these threads if you haven’t done so. There’s a good deal of vital information for FFMD in the second link, and of course we need not have people getting warned and banned over the game.

Vital Threads

FFMD ’14 Rules & Schedule Thread

Draft Thread

FFMD ’14 General Discussion Threads:

Volume 1

Roles
  • General Manager - MJD4MVP5455 - He will make all final decisions, and is in control of everything within the team. However, my opinion is weighed equally amongst the staff, just as any other member, and it's also my job to make sure that everyone's opinion is valued and taken into account before making any decision. Every member's opinions will weigh on the direction that the team is taken

  • Assistant General Manager - Tugboat - The second in command, who assists in the al areas of the team. He will explore trade options around the league and all trade offers are directed through him to then announce in the war room for discussion. If the GM is unavailable the Assistant GM is able to make draft picks and post UFA bids. Only the GM and Assistant GM have this ability. Becomes the active GM in the absence of the nominated GM.

  • Head Coach - iPwn - Has a key part in all decisions, but his focus is mainly on the team itself, rather than looking for trade options, etc… The draft board and player targets should be of importance to him as adding players he views as a fit for his system is critical.

  • Director of College Scouting - Sadjag - Helps decide needs and works with the national and positional scouts to develop a big board for the draft.

  • President of Player Personnel - - Is responsible for evaluating the team needs (along with the Head Coach), and in developing a Free Agent target list to fill those needs.

  • Director of Media Relations - - Will report to the writers with feedback and information relative to the news of what is happening with the organization.

  • National Scout - - Will evaluate draftable players, across all positions, in order to find players that are both talented and fit the team's scheme.

  • Positional Scout - - Is responsible for scouting specific positional groups and finding players that are both talented and fit the team's scheme. Some of these may be overlap (e.g. LB/LEO)

Also if anyone wants to come up with sigs for the staff it would be greatly appreciated

Draft Grades

titans0021 wrote:
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
Grade: A-
Despite all of the talk about his potential falling, to me, Teddy Bridgewater is still the clear-cut best quarterback in this draft. The Jaguars need for a franchise quarterback has been apparent for a long time and Bridgewater has the potential to fill the void that Gabbert was completely unable to.

39. Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State Grade: B- - I'll just touch on the two offensive lineman together. Both are players that I'm not in love with the value early in the second, but also fill pretty significant needs for each of their teams. Botonio is a guy that I feel is best fit for guard (though could start at tackle down the road) while Richburg certainly fills arguably the Jaguars biggest need. Understand the picks, just not my favorites of the round.
70. Jacksonville Jaguars - DaQuan Jones, DT, Penn State
Grade: B+ DaQuan Jones is a good fit for the Jaguars defense. Not sure I see him ever being a huge impact player against the run, but for a man playing at his size, there's no questioning his burst. Needs a little coaching, but can play in a rotation right out of the gate.
105. Jacksonville Jaguars (3 pm-3:30 pm) - Ed Reynolds, S, Stanford
Grade: B+
114. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Baltimore Ravens) (7:30 pm-8 pm) - Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama
Grade: B+
144. Jacksonville Jaguars - Kevin Norwood, WR, Alabama
Grade: B
150. Jacksonville Jaguars - Crockett Gilmore, TE, Colorado State
Grade: B-
159. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Baltimore Ravens) - Brent Urban, DE, Virginia
179. Jacksonville Jaguars - Isaiah Crowell, RB, Alabama State
205. Jacksonville Jaguars (from San Francisco 49ers) - Jeff Matthews, QB, Cornell
235. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Oakland Raiders) - Matt Hazel, WR, Coastal Carolina
247. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Oakland Raiders) - Denicos Allen, OLB, Michigan State

UDFA

Antonio Andrews RB Western Kentucky
Boseko Lokombo OLB Oregon
Keith Reaser CB Florida Atlantic Univeristy
Trey Burton OW Florida

I don't think we need a capologist.

Give me a role where I can bicker about who we should pick and don't have to worry about making trades happen. I don't care what.

I'll take Director of College Scouting if available.

Otherwise, national scout sounds good. I'll throw my hat in the ring for an AGM role as well, but i'm assuming somebody with a bit more experience will sign up for that, which would probably be better.

I'll swap some of the names so the code isn't easily cracked, but I figured that would be the case.

Sounds good. By the end of this FFMD, i'll have all kinds of things to associate with various Pokemon. None of which will be related to actual Pokemon. Laughing

Big emphatic NO on Hill for me. Guy isn't a football player at all, just a guy running around in football gear. Goldson doesn't really seem like a fit either with his age and position and stuff. Let the young guys play, build that part of the defense for the future. It's so vital to Gus' scheme.

Clayborn is a big meh for me. Wouldn't really bother unless they're basically giving him away for free.

Thats about what I figured...also the browns are interested in pick 3 so I am seeing what they are willing to do to move up

I am deeply suspicious of their motives, but it's definitely worth investigating.
