Not a huge fan of Watkins at 2 but if the draft broke down that way I would be happy with it. Possibly another OT later in the draft.

Which is fine, I'm one of those rare Rams fans that wants Matthews even if we stay at 2.

Rare, but not alone.

I'll take Matthews over Watkins, thats for sure. Staying at #2 though, I think I lean Robinson. I think he is the superior guard at this point and that is where either of them would likely play next year. Barksdale was good in playing RT last year in the NFL.

Yeah if we stay at 2 its gotta be Robinson if Clowney is gone.

I think its very possible that the tables have turned a bit however, in that if Clowney is there at 2 then we take him and if he isnt then we trade down.

I think that is probably what I would guess also. And really, what I hope will happen honestly.

Barksdale was decent at RT and is in a contract year so he may have a great year to get that payday it's hard to tell. It's just as likely that Barksdale, Matthews or Robinson will have to spend time at the start of the year at LT if Long isn't back in time. We have heard nothing from Rams camp to indicate he's doing well or not so it's hard to say at this point.

As for starting at guard I'd still take Matthews. I think people see the strength Robinson brings in the run game and assume he'll be able to be coached up to be a good pass blocker too. Matthews already is a good pass blocker and a good run blocker. With the same coaching people hope will turn Robinson into good we can turn Matthews in to a great Olineman. Matthews will provide an good starter from day 1 and be an upgrade over anything we have on the oline except perhaps Saffold and Long, that's assuming both of those guys are finally able to stay healthy.

If we pull these picks off, this could be the best draft in rams history
