We got some time.

Our picks are being highly rated though. Good job everyone.
I think from here on out it's obviously BPA. I mean we were doing that before but there was some thought to need.

Now we have the luxury of just swinging for the fences with each pick.

Is there really such a thing as BPA in the fifth round? I imagine all the guys are kind of muddled at that point. Might as well just draft a position.

How would the availability of BPA change through rounds? Just because your later in the draft doesn't mean every player is of equal skill.

You mean like drafting a QB in the 4th rd when it clearly wasn't a need. That never happens. If it did we might have someone named Sparkles on the roster.

Well that is an example of taking "bpa" not working out at all.

Only you could write off a player in his rookie season as the 3rd string QB. Applause

We pick today at 12:30.
I have one particular player in mind.

What're you guys thinking?

The Texans are potentially interested in pick 162 (31 pts) - if our target is there.

We are offering 6-181 (25 pts) + 7-227 (10 pts).

Let us know via PM or post in war room.

At a quick glance, wouldn't mind Josh Mauro DE from Stanford. Looks like all the decent NT prospects are gone but he would provide some nice depth behind Cox and Thorton.

Interesting.

I was looking at RB Jerick McKinnon, WR Devin Street, and OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif

I'm actually liking OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif more and more here.
I've been really looking at a lot of guys and he seems to fit the bill for an Eagle OL

He probably wouldn't play much the first year but man did he dominate in Canada http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1279374/highlights/97081375

Anybody got thoughts?

With the 162nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, OT, THAT PLACE UP NORTH*

The Philadelphia Eagles have room for a learned doctor. An athletically dominant one to boot. Laurent will have time to sit and learn from some of the best offensive linemen in the game (Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, and PFF's own Evan Mathis). He's versatile enough to play both guard and tackle which is essential for Chip Kelly. Check out this Canadian stud pancaking everyone and their mom: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1279374/highlights/97081375

*Let's hope this one's better than the last Canadian offensive lineman we drafted

Well he was terrible in college and the success rate of lowly drafted QBs is very low. pretty easy to give up on him.

I know you hate everything USC but now you're talking out of your rear. He had better statistics then Russell Wilson coming out of college except for rushing. Fact is he was a guaranteed top 15 pick if not 10 (at that time) had he came out a year earlier. Most likely getting drafted after RGIII and before Tannehill. Just becuase he got injured his senior season doesn't negate the player he was leading up to that.
You also seem to forget some of the better QB in the league and numerous SB champs/HOF were low drafted QB. It's not impossible to find winning QB's in later rds. The past few years has proven that.

Russell Wilson 3rd
Tom Brady 6th
Kurt Warner UDFA
Joe Montana 3rd
Bart Starr 17th
Warren Moon UDFA
Roger Staubach 16th

I'll be on a little later tonight, probably around 9. I'd appreciate it if we could wait to make out pick then. It's the 7th round and many people have already been skipped.

Throw out some ideas in the meantime if you want. Still some talent on the board.
